Aizawa settles back, then, one hand settling on Izuku's knee, a passive, oh-so sweet affection. "Wha's time?" The murmur is low and rumbling, and it matches Aizawa's tone when he responds, "It's just after six. I was going to wake you up at seven for dinner." "Mm, than's." Izuku shifts slightly, nuzzling down into Eri's hair, soft and strawberry-sweet as it is, forcing himself not to sigh heavily in case the movement of it wakes her up. He's glad when she just snuffles in her sleep, clearly still unbothered.

At least Aizawa-sensei is there to try and assure Izuku that there are other ways to cope, that he isn't bad just for not always being perfect. At least Aizawa-sensei is there to give him hope.

Izuku arrives at school dazed, beaten up and broken. Aizawa takes him to Recovery Girl, then the hospital, then home. Said home becomes Izuku's too, of course, because what's one more kid when you've already got two? And his Problem Child needs someone, anyone, who cares, who will accept him and love him.

And so, over the course of several days Izuku is shown, again and again, that he is loved. That he is safe to love who he wants, to be nerdy and vulnerable and kind and simply himself in any measure he should choose. Now he has a family to show him that.
