I saw some lovely folks in the Voltron fandom start #positivity tags for their ships, and I think we should do the same for Otayuri!

I can’t ever search “Otayuri” without seeing a hateful post from an ignorant ant1 who thinks the world revolves around them. Ant/s who refuse to educate themselves and continue to call Otayuri pedophilia, despite it not being pedophilia by any definition of the word, thereby trivializing actual pedophilia. 

I’ve heard from people who say ant/s make them feel bad about their personal relationships, because they’re a 16 year old dating an 18 year old, and they’re insulted that ant/s are implying that their s/o is a pedo with ill-intentions to harm them. This is not okay. 

Beyond that, most shippers are just sick and tired of ant/s insulting their ship, tired of ant/s saying that this perfectly healthy ship is gross or wrong in some way, and tired of ant/s just generally being negative and hateful. 

Because ant/s refuse to use make their ant1-tag one word (i.e. ant1Otayuri), their ant1 posts regularly show up in the Otayuri search, and I’m frankly sick of seeing them and their ignorant drivel. 

So if you want to make kind, positive posts about Otayuri and the shippers, please tag it as:

#otayuripositivity

And make sure it’s one word! That way if any shippers are feeling down because of ant/s, they can go through that search/tag for a nice reminder that their ship is okay.

Didn’t want to add my salt to that last reblog because it’s such a pure, wholesome post, I didn’t want to soil it with the disc0urse.

But now I really really really want Mila to be an Otayuri shipper.

If Yurio does have a crush on Otabek, I want Milla to catch wind of it and be 100% supportive of the crush, and of them. I want her to cheer Yurio on and tease him by trying to drop hints to Otabek and all that good stuff.

That would be the ultimate middle finger to ant/s. Particularly the ones who use her for their icons. It would be such sweet, poetic justice, the icing on the cake :’)
