Finally finished painting my table
unsolicited opinion
Every time something new happens I get asks about what I think of this or that, I never understood why my opinion (and of other blogs) matters so much, am I some kind of Influencer or what? (cadê meus mimos brasil) so I decided to make this post to clarify some points once and for all.
So here we go
I just love rendering to my heart's content sometimes. (●♡∀♡) Though, it's also freaking frustrating at other times. lol
This is Atheus' Deercrown Staff.
I don't always start with lineart tho. I start with lineart when I draw things like this staff or if I go for a more stylized art (like anime/manga style or chibi).
When I go for (semi)realism, I usually start with values. I want to put down the vague image I have in my head and I'll just figure out the rest along the way; starts in grayscale and then I'll just figure out the colours and other details along the process.
This is Daichi, one of other people's 6 OCs that I drew before.
I usually tend to draw a character's body first, instead of going straight to clothes; bc I want to figure out how their clothes would wrap around their body. Plus, it's like a fun anatomy practice for me.
Anyway, things like that staff and bag are usually drawn on a separate canvas bc those things distract my self who has an attention span of a gold fish. ಠ‿ಠ I mean, I'd end up jumping from the character itself and to those stuff; back and forth, until I get overwhelmed and then procrastinate for a long a time. Sometimes, I even draw the head separate from the body, especially when the head has a lot on it (like a bunch of accessories or anthropomorphism-related stuff).
With the small size of my canvas (phone), I find it easier and even enjoyable drawing a full digital illustration by parts. I draw a bag; save. I draw the staff; save. I draw the character, add in those stuff I drew beforehand; and then make sure the colours harmonize (bc sometimes they look off, like they don't belong to the character).
Yeah, that's basically the gist of my art process. It's tedious, but mostly fun and satisfying. ( ◜‿◝ )♡
and theres yet another discord server because never let the durarara fandom die out or else we’ll all dry up and cry and no one wants that https://discord.gg/EYZWz7b5
there’s just something comforting about carrying a book with you wherever you go. the idea of knowing that anytime you can take that book out of your bag and instantly dive into a different world... that’s the most exciting thing in the world.
I love to write. I write fan fiction. A lot. Some of my favorite pairings are: Deena and Sam: Fear Street Toni and...

Update!
Hello! I am, in fact, still alive! Been a wild few years since I’ve posted writing stuff here, I finished college, I’ll soon be moving, lots of stuff happening around here.
I don’t know if anyone still looks at this ever, but I do still write things! They’re just very different from the things I used to write, and I’m getting paid for them now! You can find my epic games journalism at https://cogconnected.com/2021/05/upcoming-bethesda-title-starfield/, and many more posts over the next little bit!
