Fuck. German. Language.

Seriously.

Writing about specific topics is friggin hard because we totally lack of (german) terms. 

In today’s episode of an everlasting problem, we’re talking about:

skin hunger

Is there any unmonstrously long german term for skin hunger/touch craving? @barbex @thornhands @whoever is german speaking and has an opinion on that?

On the practical level this just drives me mad because I desperately look for good words (see: words, not one line long descriptions) for this to write about.

On the much more basic level this sucks because it’s hard to talk about things where you don’t have words for. So, you might in your daily life describe to someone here in german with monstruous long paraphrases that you’re experiencing skin hunger and they look at you call you crazy and you just want to say “no i’m just fucking touch starved” but you can’t because your language doesn’t have a word for it.

What I mean is that english speaking folks have a lot of advantages in lots of topics because you might also have no broad understanding among society, but at least you have words. We don’t. Ugh.

But back to the basic writing problem: any german speaking folk can help me out? ???
