Wakana on music×serendipity TwitCast & other radio recordings
So many awesome goodies today!! I have recordings for you and what’s even more important, we got THREE album songs (all of them are ballads)!!! BANZAI!!!! Proper reviews will follow later but at first listen my favourite is Kinmokusei. It’s awesome!! So traditional and perfect for Wakana’s voice. I am 100% in LOVE!! My second favourite is Nagareboshi I think, it sounds like a lullaby. Very beautiful. Kioku no Hito is very simple (just like Nagareboshi) but I love how Wakana’s voice conveys so much sadness and longing during certain lines. It’s heartbreaking. After listening to it again and again I think I like it even more than Nagareboshi.
Bounce Beat: During the first part in the background we hear the studio version of Tsubasa I believe (it sounds a bit different than the live ver.). Then Toki wo Koeru Yoru ni. And then track 5 of the album ~Kioku no Hito~ (which was written by Yūko Andō)!! They are talking way too loudly tho so you can’t hear the songs properly. At the end we get a full version of track 8 ~Kinmokusei~ (Wakana has written the lyrics for it)!! It is also mentioned that Ruriiro no Sora was written/composed by Satomi/Ryoki Matsumoto but we already knew that. Wakana explains that she wrote the lyrics for a total of six of the 11 songs. So I guess now we have a confirmation. Some of the lyrics (inlcuding the ones for Ruriiro no Sora) were written by someone else. RKB Oto Navigation: This is a pretty short program. Nothing much is happening during this program. The usual talk about Wakana’s plants obviously. And at the end we get a full (or seemingly full) version of track 4 of the album ~Nagareboshi~ (another song that was written by Wakana AND she also plays an instrument in the recording - she doesn’t say which one though).
LOVE FM「music×serendipity」 TwitCast & Full radio recording: Wakana talks a little about how she really likes the ring of her name (on being asked about the album title). Then there is some talk about Wakana’s camera “Wakame” which she brought along to the recording. What follows is a full version of track 5 ~Kioku no Hito~ (which as we already know was composed and written by Yūko Andō). It’s cute to hear Wakana sing along to herself in the Twitcast. Once again we have the studio version of Tsubasa playing in the background and Wakana explains how this song like no other track is very representative of her current state. Wakana says there are a lot of lullaby-like songs on this album. According to Wakana the best song to listen to while sleeping is “Toki no Ne”. [Turns out “Toki no Oto” is actually read as “Toki no Ne”; I am glad the moderator also got it wrong and I wasn’t the only one]. Then they are talking about Kinmokusei and Wakana recommends everyone to listen to it while taking a bath. Not sure what song is playing in the background here, I am guessing it’s Toki no Ne...At the end they are playing the full version of Kinmokusei again.
FM Fukuoka「Hyper Night Program GOW!!」: We start with a full version of Toki wo Koeru Yoru ni. In the background we have some songs playing again. Tsubasa’s studio version is playing during the beginning and for the first time we can hear it properly. There are some back up vocals if I am not mistaken. Then some talk about Wakana’s “cute pink” camera again (and sharks). The next background song is Kioku no Hito. While the song is playing they are talking about the upcoming album and how it conveys a lot of confidence and strength. The female moderator and Wakana are fangirling over Yūko Andō. We transition to Kinmokusei and during this song they talk about Wakana’s spring tour. Wakana then reveals that the title of the tour is “VOICE”. She chose that name because she wants the tour to be all about her voice. Lastly, we get Nagareboshi again.
