i have NEVER made something like this before and it was actually so much fun!
mightt make this into a series if this gets enough attention honestly
snowbotlover i hope u enjoys these adorable now matching keychainifed versions of the best peak in all of history! i also hope whoever happens to come across this also enjoys my take on chibis!
These chibis are free to use by fans for fans as well as all of my art with proper credits i dont mind at all!
im so happy i have finally gotten around to giving my two favorite characters their own sprites! This was long overdue but im honestly glad i waited since my art style has definitely improved since their first designs!
as for what ive changed heres the slight tweaks i made that came with their new sprites!
SHISHI-
-she now has snowflakes on her scarf which were going to be on her original design from the begining but i didnt know how to draw them at the time and lacked clip studio brushes
-her hair clip is now purple to tie into Matsukawa since they are childhood friends because i say so
-her skirt now has double layers just for stylistic points
-her hair now has a pink gradient just because i thought it looked cute
-she now has more traditional shoes as she is the ultimate meko
-she now has a matching omamori with Matsukawa as they are religious good luck charms
KAWA-
-she now has her jacket drawn more realistically while still being off the shoulder
-her hair as well has a slight gradient because again why not
-she also has her own omamori to match with shishi
as you can see there slightly different from there orginal designs but not by much which was intentional! helpful reminder for whoever stayed and read this much that these sprites as well as all my others are free to use by fans for fans with credits!!
final note thank u @kennedy-gaming for requesting these sprites as ur ask was the final motivation i needed to finish them!

I funny enough have been trying really hard to find time to give my first redesign baby’s their own sprites since I made them before I could download my art work leading them to be the only ones without proper sprites
This ask as finally got me working on them again and I definitely plan to tag this user once there done!

I can’t belive I actually dropped everything to do this request all because it audibly made me laugh..
And because I can’t help my self takes some shishimura facts under cut!
SHISHIMURA OTOKO FUNFACTS!
-her birthday is on Christmas Day (12/25) making her a Capricorn
-she likes: winter, snow, hot chocolate, the color pink and red, dears, cinnamon, her religion, her grandparents, Matsukawa, daiwa, and kurosaki
-she dislikes: sickness, medicine, most things medical, spring, energy drinks, swimsuits, disrespectful people, people who enjoy vandalism
-her hair is white due to lack of melanin from past medical incidents, she was not born with her hair color as it was naturally blonde at birth
-when growing up she was often seen in a wheelchair until her teen years despite not needing one
-her biggest dream was to gain the confidence to ask Matsukawa out
-her hobbies are: drawing, sewing, reading, and puzzles specifically sudoku
-her favorite food is: rice or mochi with her favorite drink being hot chocolate or any type of tea
-she has pharmacophobia (fear of medication) as well as nosocomephobia (fear of hospitals) and iatrophobia(fear of doctors)
-she belives heavily in the Shinto religion and often gifts things like omamoris to people she cares about the most in her life
-she is mtf and before the killing game was having a smooth social transition due to her family accepting her fully

Now i'm pretty curious about Mathias' new backstory and how he ended up meeting Ishiguro.
How does this change their relationship in the KG?
Were anyone else's stories changed as well (seeing snowbot were childhood friends?)
Omg the day has finally come…I can talk about my Mathias backstory!! I’ll also put any other backstory changes but there’s not much and most are just expanded!
Mathias backstory-
Mathias grew up in Belgium with his mom and dad he lived there until about the age of 9 when his parents got into car crash leading to both their deaths. Since this left Mathias orphaned he was put into an orphanage for about 6 months before being adopted by a rather rich family visiting from London. They take Mathias in after being told he had dressage training done at age 6 to when his parents died and both of his new parents wanted a talented kid they could flaunt at party’s.
This lead to Mathias being brought back with them to London and living there until age 15 during this time his new parents weren’t all that great….they wanted him to be the perfect rich little white boy constantly, even tho he isn’t white and grew up pretty lower middle class all his life. This lead to them dying his hair blonde consistently, having him take extra upon extra lessons for horse ridding even if he was exhausted and they constantly kept him isolated from his peers because they where naturally what he was “ment” to be.
Eventually his new father got a business deal in japan(that was involved with someone who was associated with Ishiguro’s dad) causing the family to move out there. However when they adopted Mathias there was a clause in his file stating that he couldn’t leave Europe until he was 18 because his parents had wanted him to stay as close to his home as they could ensure. His new parents being um…white rich and privileged…just moved to Japan anyways and flew Mathias out under a new name(and basically just bought off anyone who looked closer) this technically still makes him an immigrant but less in a creepy trafficking ring way and more of a moving somewhere with parents who are rich enough to ignore contracts way
He basically just continues his life in the same way just in Japan but he meets Ishiguro whenever he has to tag along to his new fathers meetings which almost always have koji(Ishiguros dad) and Ishiguro himself. Because of this they become close friends and despite them not interacting much during the game they both hold respect for eachother to an extent
I’d also like to mention that since Ishiguro is transmac in my au Mathias tends to refer to him by she/her pre-game before switching fully to he/him during the kg. They basically have discrete respect for eachother since despite them not hanging out during the kg they both serectly care about one another and behind closed doors get along really well! (Mathias is like the only person Ishiguro bearly ever insults if at all)
Shishimura and Matsukawas backstory-
They are the only two other then Mathias and Ishiguro to have a big back story change overall.
They grew up knowing eachother around age 5-6 at a public playground in a small town close to fujinomiya at this time Matsukawa lives with her mom and dad and shishimura lives solely with her mom. They grow up together for a couple years until matsukawas family breaks up(due to her dad trying to kill them both) leading her to put in her grandmas care all the way in Tokyo splitting up the two of them.
each of there backstory’s play out the same as the og mostly until shishimura is finally out of his moms custody and she starts living with her grandparents. During this time Matsukawa has to visit fujinomiya with some robot fighting friends to celebrate wining a championship close by. During this time she ends up passing by a familiar shrine and ends up reuniting with shishimura. They start hanging out again and eventually since Matsukawas grandma starts to get to old to care for her she is allowed to stay with shishimura in there guest room.
Up until the killing game the two of them live under the same roof and do everything together. Which is why chap 5 is so hard on Matsukawa as she has to go back to shishimuras grandparents with nothing but her scarf.
That’s overall it for changes in backstory tho since most people’s backstory’s are just expanded upon! I reallllyyy didn’t like Mathias backstory at alll so that’s why his is so different. For snowbots change in backstory tho they were kinda just an indulgent decision that felt right to me!
