Sasuke x Hinata

Send me a ship and I give my opinion on it!

This ship is surprisingly popular and it was through artwork I found it. I guess it's also partially because of the shy girl x brooding boy trope that attracted it to me but I can also see why it could work. Hinata is one of the few girls that actually doesn't fall in love with him (though I read somewhere that she did but never acted on it before noticing Naruto). She doesn't seem like she'd annoy him and their similar family background could've made them start a friendship or at least give Hinata more understanding towards him as a character. She is also soft spoken which might both be a flaw and a virtue his eyes although we're never shown what Sasuke would actually like to see in a girl. And this makes this ship actually not that bad - you can have different scenarios in which they could've interacted. The weird thing is how both Kishi and SP somehow made it seem that there might be going on with those two simply with so many similarities between the two (their elemental affinities included) and a few scenes here and there like in that get-together episode when I think Ino mentions Sasuke, it's Hinata that acts surprised or that one panel of Hinata when she sees Sasuke appearing during the war before anyone else. (I'm forever mad that there was no interaction in canon of them). And then there was this RTN drama CD which obviously showed that at least their alternate selves had something going on even if Hinata denies his approach. They also look good (particularly their Shippuden versions). From what I've seen and know of their characters, I feel they could've made more sense compared to some other canon pairings due to background alone even if they had no interactions whatsoever. Also, I don't like the notion of some people, thinking Sasuke wouldn't know who Hinata was. They went to the academy so he must know her to some degree. All in all, I feel even if their flaws, they could've become good friends at least and I ship them even with basically no interaction at all because there is so many possibilities for them.
