October was a wonderful month for mail and books! And I’m so thankful for the publishers and friends who sent books and for the marvelous books that I purchased! Can’t wait to read so many of these soon.
My last purchased book from Penned Con arrived, signed by the author (pic below!) Plus a previous Secret Sister passed on a couple of books she thought I might like and I payed for shipping for another book from the #booksfortrade tag.
Also, I won a contest while participating in the Stormheart Street Team, which included a cute bag, signed bookplate, signed bookmark, and a rubber bracelet. Thanks to the author for being awesome and running the street team and contests 🙂
I added an arc from one of my favorite series growing up, Acorna by Anne McCaffrey. So stoked to add this one. Now if only I could find one from the Green Rider series by Kristen Britain or the Firekeeper series by Jane Lindskold! I’ll keep searching 🙂
Barnes and Noble did a second print run of The Cruel Prince exclusive edition, and I couldn’t help myself. I had traded my original away to a collector and thought I’d be fine with the white cover version. But I really do prefer the black cover!
Big thanks to Sourcebooks Fire for sending this lovely arc with wrap for the January release, Wicked as You Wish by Rin Chupeco. It sounds amazing, and you should look for a review in January, I hope.
This one was a bit of a surprise as I wasn’t told it was coming (but I had asked/begged through several formats), so big thanks to Macmillan and Tor.com specifically for one of the best books I’ve read this year. Yes, I did just use the past tense because I immediately started reading this one and only took a break to sleep before finishing it the next day! My review will go live in December, but expect gushing.
The last thing I want to share in this post is the wonderful ebooks I received from my Secret Sister for this month. After a rocking couple of days where my sis was waiting for my received post (and me not receiving them), we figured it out through my buddy. And I have so many more ebooks to read now! Thanks so much 🙂
