I have the same thing about a world popping out of nowhere sometimes. It's like the exact opposite of writer's block and I have discovered that it is NOT conducive to schoolwork.

like, why is the world not structured so that when this happens we can just, like, retreat into a private cave with zero distractions and an endless supply of writing materials/food/coffee and just like birth our story baby into the world???
