Ugh, I completely understand, secret santa! Christmas is a super busy time for everyone and I’ve barely had time to do anything either, but hope you have a lovely Christmas too! :)

The biggest disappointment is the fact that this was a winter finale. It was a horrible episode for a finale of any sort. And now we're stuck with it for 3 months until it returns. There's going to be a lot of lingering resentment in the fandom come spring. But, I digress. No more negativity! There's plenty of that around. Tell me some of your favorite things about the show. Whether it's CS or otherwise. -ouass

Yeah. I’d actually enjoyed 6A so far. It was one of the biggest disappointments of the show, for me anyway. But maybe I just stan Emma too much. It definitely doesn’t inspire me to want to watch 6B. I will because CS but eh, it’s definitely an episode I won’t be rewatching.

Anyways, onto more positive things:

My favourite thing about the show is always going to be Captain Swan’s love story, because it’s just so beautiful and they’ve come so far. Like, I can’t even sometimes. I watch season 3 scenes where it’s “I fancy you from time to time” and now they live together and they’re in love, and they just need to be happy 24/7 okay? They just need to lock themselves in a bedroom and have lots of beautiful children. 

One of my favourite things about CS is that Killian respects her, a lot. He always has, even right from the beginning (though that’s one of my favourite things about him - that he respects women!). He’s always let her take the lead, even when they kiss, and they’re just perfect together. Okay?

And Killian’s redemption arc, because it’s by far the best on the show, let’s be honest. It’s hard to believe he was the feared Captain Hook sometimes (don’t get me wrong, i love the good old scenes). But I love that it wasn’t all Emma, he actually made the changes himself, and he’s not like Regina - where he throws tantrums every day because he doesn’t get what he wants, and he sticks to it. He doesn’t just change when Emma’s not there.

Daddy Charming is a close second tbh though. I love Emma’s scenes with Charming, and she’s such a daddy girl. I resent that he never got to see her grow up, but honestly, I’m living for the day when he gets to walk her down the aisle because it’s gonna be like her first ball and everything all in one.

Everything surrounding this episode was such a clusterfuck of /what/. I did see a post that explained how the wish!au was the EQ's version, and not Emma's, and that's part of the reason why Emma was so passive/weak, because that's how the EQ would want her to be. It doesn't excuse the bad writing and the need for twitter explanations, but it does make me feel SLIGHTLY better about it. Still waiting for a proper no-curse au, tho. -ouass

I just can’t deal with that episode. Honestly, the fact that a&e had to take to twitter to explain what was their ‘purposes’ of the episode, just makes me more annoyed tbh. It should have been clear in the episode, and it wasn’t.

Still, it makes zero sense that Emma is ‘weak’ when she’s not the saviour and that was what her wish was, not to be turned into something she isn’t. The saviour doesn’t make her being strong, and neither would the pain she’s experienced. Yes, I note that it has had a very significant impact on her life and who she is today. But, it doesn’t define her, completely.

And Charming would have taught her how to fight. Regardless. So would Snow. The fact that she didn’t know how to defend herself at all makes me so angry because the future queen of the Enchanted Forest would know how to fight.

Don’t even get me started on Regina either in that episode. Like, honestly. It’s just like the writer’s want to make EVERYTHING about her. I highly dislike the EQ/Regina storyline this season, tbh. 

But, same here. I’m just hoping we see Killian in March, and it’s the Hook we all know and love.

Honestly, the lack of CS was the least annoying thing about it. And, while I'm less upset about the episode now than I was Sunday night, I'm still highly annoyed with it (and a&e). It definitely made me even less of a Regina fan then I already was, too. Is it too hard to ask for a proper no-curse AU and get it??? -ouass

Ugh, I know. The fact that they had to take to twitter to actually clarify things just proves my point. If it was good writing, that wouldn’t have needed to be done. It was just disappointing because I’d really enjoyed the first half of the season, so it was just a really crappy ending, and it doesn’t really inspire me to want to watch 6B, tbh. I mean, I will, because I love captain swan far too much but still…

The fact that Regina killed parents in front of her (curse or not), I just can’t with that. And just that they portrayed Emma as being so weak, and not being able to defend herself because hello? Charming would totally teach his daughter how to fight, and saviour or not, that’s not what makes Emma strong.

It’s just irritating that they promote it with captain swan, and then when the episode comes around, there’s hardly or little to no captain swan in the actual episode. But hey, it was the least watched episode of the season (and for quite a while, too, if I’m not mistaken), so I think it was quite a common feeling, and certain fans can’t blame captain swan for being the reason why ratings are down so.

I totally understand the long shifts (just had a 13 hour one today myself). Drunk customers can be pretty friggin crazy. x.x You watch the finale yet? What did you think of it? And what about what's in store for 6b? -ouass

Yeah, I definitely prefer the 6 - 8 hour ones. I haven’t seen the whole episode yet of the finale, but what I’ve seen so far is quite disappointing tbh. Maybe it’s me shipping CS that has me biased, but it just seems like all it is praising Regina for creating the curse in the first place.

Honestly, it’s just made me more anti regina.

honestly, as long as CS has some sort of new first meeting, I really don't care what else happens. lol. (and totally agree that any of Hook's flashbacks are always wonderful) Saw your post about work! Sounds like it wasn't the most pleasant of shifts :( -ouass

Yeah, agreeing with you there! At least Killian isn’t going to be all “old” in the au episode, so there’s that that’s been confirmed, too. But I’m sort of hoping to get some ‘dark pirate’ scenes maybe, with his crew? I’m not sure yet. I suppose we’ll have to see, I’m trying not to read too much into it.

And ugh, yes. It was a very long, 14 hour shift, with some not so nice drunk guests.

No worries, I completely understand! I just got back from work for myself and I know if you work in the same area, that work can definitely be hectic at Christmas. And I had an awesome birthday, thank you! I used to love them when I was little and it’s kind of a thing that me and my mum always do, so it’s always great to spend time with her, when I don’t see her as much. I’m also a big disney freak so...

And yepp! I’m also kind of nervous. Trying not to read too much into spoilers, but I’m hoping for some great CS scenes. How about you? :)
