Tumblr is my beta and Drabble archive for now. Hopefully, I can eventually get some-more things written to post on Ao3.
Liam grumbled in annoyance as he reached the deck. “Alys what are you doing? Go back to bed!” Liam whispered-shouted to his sister.
“I’m playing with shadow.” Alys giggled moving to the current lantern the shadow inhibited. “And shadows friend.”
“Friend?” Liam's heart dropped, he swiftly put himself in front of his sister.
“Yeah. Shadow won’t hurt you. He just likes to play.” Alys' smile quickly faded as her brother grabbed her hand.
“She’s right, the shadow won’t hurt you. Unless I tell him too.” Peter finally made his presence known once the siblings started agruing.
“Are you-?” Liam’s eyes began to widened, but he looked puzzled.
“Peter Pan.” A grin appeared across his face, curious of what the pirate had said about him. “I’m sure your father has warned you about me.”
Liam nodded, “He said you were a demon, but you just look like a boy. The six year old figured his father now meant he was just “bad” like the crocodile. “He said you take boys away from their family and bring them to Neverland, and never let them go home.”
“Your father lied, Liam.” Pan explained how boys chose to come to Neverland, how boys who listen and follow his rules are allowed to go home if they wish. He studied Liam's as he spoke. He could see the spark of curiosity in the boy, when he started telling him the more exciting details. “You can bring your sister if you’d like.”
Liam glanced at the deck boards under his boots. He thought about his father briefly, but decided he’d eventually return to the Jolly Roger. All he had to do was follow Peter’s rules, and with that he agreed to the offer. “Do you have a boat? Is that how we go?”
Pan shook his head, “You don’t need a boat. When you can fly.”
Liam felt his heart dropped at the idea, however he quickly doubted flying as option.“No we can’t.”
His little sister of course had the opposite reaction. “We can!? How? Can you fly?” Alys eagerly had a million more questions she’d done her best remaining quiet during their conversation.
“My shadow can fly. He can take you both to Neverland.” Pan smiled, on que the shadow attempted to pick up Alys. Except the shadow couldn’t pick her up, leaving Peter in pure bewilderment.
Alys was beaming until nothing was happening. “I don’t think the shadow likes me.”
“You have magic…Can’t you make a boat appear?” Liam was relieved the shadow couldn’t pick up Alys. He'd rather not do any flying. Knowing if the shadow dropped him he’d drowned.
“I could, but I won’t. You don’t have to worry he won’t drop you.” Pan could sense Liam’s fear and hesitation. After many years, he’s learned boys who initially fear him tend to be the loyalist of followers.
“Fine.” Liam’s heart practically was in his throat as he nodded. His eyes shut upon seeing his boots hover over the deck of the Jolly Roger.
Peter gave the shadow a quick nod watching the shadow soar into the night sky. He listened for a moment for laughs, cries, screams nothing. All he could hear were the creaks and moans of the ship. He picked up the girl putting her on his hip, “Are ready to go little bird?”
Alys scrunched up her face and shook her head, “I’m not a bird. Birds can fly I can’t.”
NOTE: Grammar isn’t a strong suit of mine. I apologize. Pacing and what information readers need is something I’m finding I’m struggling with, however some dynamics with characters I’m still finding out myself.
I’m thinking about writing them flying to island, but I really think that’s a strong ending. Please feel to comment, ask questions, leave ideas ect! Thanks for the read!
While I usually use a face claim up to three times, I couldn't resist using Jenna Ortega as Camila Mortes from American Carnage, for some reason, she just fits my oc so well. Yes, she is a Vanellope von Schweets counterpart.

Teddy washed ashore some...she doesn't know how many years ago. Lost Ones do tend to age, but she hasn't in quite some time. Her hair is too dirty and short to remember what color it really is, though it's probably the same honey brown as her eyes.

ONCE UPON A TIME
Neverland!Teddy -> OUAT Canon compliant version of Teddy that lives on Neverland pre-season 3 and follows Pan around like a third shadow. Never been one to talk too much, so the other Lost like to joke that her vocal cords are hoarse from swallowing too much lagoon water.
Storybrooke!Teddy -> OUAT semi canon compliant version of Teddy that is brought to Storybrooke after Pan's defeat. She works in the library with Belle, lives in the convent, and barely acknowledges the other Lost. She's currently saving up to buy a car so she can (try to) skip town.

BACKSTORY
*loosely inspired by the princess bride (very loosely)
ENCHANTED FOREST
Before King Leopold married Queen Eva, he had an affair with a woman of lower standing. The relationship didn't last long, and after Cora's deceptive pregnancy, the king had trouble trusting women again. Paranoid and heartbroken, he refused to believe the child was his and sent Rosalind's pregnant mother to a smaller village in the kingdom. The girl grew up far from luxury, helping her mother around the farmland the king was kind enough to give her.
Rosalind never knew who her father was, and even if her mother had told her, she wouldn't have believed her. The girl never cared much about this, she loved the quiet life they had in the village, buying and selling produce at the market, taking care of her mother as she aged, and the young man who grew up a few miles from her. Everything was perfect for Rosie until it wasn't anymore.
The moment one thing went wrong for her, everything fell apart. Her mother had fallen ill and quickly passed away, moments after telling the girl about her father, but by the time Rosalind heard about it, the man had passed away before she had even tried to meet him. To make things worse, her fiancé disappeared a week before they were supposed to get married, leaving her completely alone. Rosalind coped with things the best she could, sold everything from her mother (save for a small pendant she keeps around her neck at all times), and went looking for the boy she refused to believe was gone.
She became a wanderer, travelling through kingdoms and trading goods in markets to keep funding the search for her loved one. Rosalind bought and sold artifacts and learned to survive the dangerous parts of the enchanted forest. She never found him there, but never stopped looking either.
STORYBROOKE
When the Dark Curse came, she became Ivory Blake, and for once in her life, she was placed in the most stagnant corner in town, working a quiet desk job at the sheriff's station in Storybrooke. For twenty-eight years, she organised files, answered phone calls and properly filed reports that rarely ever came, always with an emptiness inside she couldn't quite understand.
Everything changed when Emma Swan arrived in town and Sheriff Graham, who had been one of her few friends in town, passed away, and Emma promoted Ivy to deputy.
PERSONALITY
Ivy's very self-sufficient as she doesn't like relying on people. She's used to being the one who fixes things.
She's a giver. She loves deeply and worries constantly about the people she cares about, always putting others' needs ahead of her own.
Ivy isn't intimidated by authority and is extremely self-righteous. Will speak her mind if she thinks the other is in the wrong.
POWERS AND ABILITIES
Street smart.
Resourceful.
Holds her own in a fight, has quick reflexes and is talented with both swords and archery.
TRIVIA
Her mother's pendant was the only thing she held onto from her mother and is the only thing she owned that came with her to Storybrooke
After Graham's death, she keeps his old mug on her desk as a reminder of him.
Loves roses and always has fresh ones decorating the Sheriff's Department

BACKSTORY
ENCHANTED FORREST
evangeline was born in the enchanted forest to a small village witch known around as crazy, weak, and useless because the woman could rarely control her magic. she was cast aside by the villagers who deemed her dangerous. in a desperate attempt to gain control of her magic, the witch made a deal with rumpelstiltskin, signing off her four-year-old daughter to the dark one.
the moment the woman called for him, the dark one saw something in her daughter. he knew the child possessed a gift far stronger than her mother's and took her in, intending to teach her everything from a young age to use her as an advantage in the future. she was raised in the dark castle her whole childhood, mastering the arts of potion making and witchcraft.
as evie grew up, she showed immense talent in the arts, but everything comes at a price. in this case, the years rumpelstiltskin had spent on training the girl became a waste of his time. as she matured and started thinking for herself, he realised she wasn't nearly as reckless and cruel as he required. her final test came when she was tasked with brewing a poison to ruin an entire village. evangeline hesitated, deliberately altering the recipe into a harmless sleeping draught. the dark one caught the deception immediately. deeming her a failure and a waste of his resources, he immediately ended her apprenticeship, handed her a few gold coins and locked the castle doors on the 18-year-old girl.
evangeline never truly hated him for sending her away, she felt mostly relieved to finally be out of the darkness she had spent most of her life in. the sadness came from the rejection of the man she saw as both a father and a master. the girl travelled to a small coastal kingdom, settled and opened a small apothecary. she used her skills to brew remedies, hexes, and potions for the villagers on her own terms and morals. she built a life of independence, going where she wanted, when she wanted, until the curse came and everything changed.
STORYBROOKE
under the curse, she became katherine, raised by mr. gold as his legal ward and foster daughter. she didn't know much about her past and what truly brought her to his care, having only heard a story about a woman who didn't want to be a mother and later passed away in labour. katie ran the front counter of his pawn shop, spending her days organising antiques, reading and waiting for customers that rarely ever came.
when the curse was broken, katherine became evangeline again, or at least she tried to. living a lie longer than being herself tends to alter one's mind, and the revelation brought an intense identity crisis: she remembered mr. gold as both the safe, protective father figure of her recent life and the monster who had taken her away from her mother only to abandon her to the world at eighteen. ultimately, she chose to stay at the pawn shop, but the dynamic there changed permanently.
PERSONALITY
She’s precise, observant and can read a person’s body language.
She’s not cruel, but she operates on a survival basis. She will never intentionally harm another person unless her own life or safety is directly threatened.
She doesn’t believe in heroes. Katherine finds their self-righteousness exhausting, their goodness feels forced to look good rather than actual, genuine intent.
Always has a smile on her face to greet people but never really means it, she’s honest, sarcastic and not afraid to say what’s in her mind.
POWERS AND ABILITIES
Alchemy and potion making
Witchcraft
Great intuition
Strategic manipulation
TRIVIA
Katherine keeps her work area at the pawn shop meticulously well-organized.
She absolutely hates the smell of lavender. It reminds her too much of the endless hours she spent processing it back in the Enchanted Forest.
The pawn shop is her sanctuary. If people bring dramatic arguments and personal feuds across the threshold, Katherine will not hesitate to insert herself into the conflict and escort them out of the shop.
Note: I finally finished up this masterlist (though it's a bit more basic than my more recent ones, I don't feel like adding much of a description of them yet, I might later).

"Anyway," Zoe continued, as though this were a perfectly ordinary conversation to be having on a dock with one son rediscovered, one teenager present, and one ex-husband regretting all of his life choices, "I came by to ask if I could take Harry a few days early."
Harry blinked. "Wait, what?"
Jason looked almost offended by the mundanity of it. "What, so he can spend time with his pirate brother and your new boyfriend?"
August brightened immediately. "I like that that's my title now."
"No one asked you," Killian told him.
"I was planning on helping him with his science project," Zoe offered, with the sort of calm that only made the whole thing stranger. She looked at Harry then, not Jason. "If that would be alright."
Harry stared at her.
Then at August. Then at Killian. Then at Jason, who still looked like a man trying to process the indignity of being asked a custody question in front of a son he'd misplaced centuries ago.
"My science project," Harry repeated.
"Yes."
"The bridge one?"
"You said it was a bridge."
"It is a bridge."
Zoe inclined her head. "Then yes. The bridge one."
August put a hand over his mouth, restraining a smile.
Killian, on the other hand, looked outright fascinated.
"You're helping with a science project."
Zoe gave him a flat look. "I'm very old, not useless."
"That was not what I meant."
"It rarely is."
Jason folded his arms. "You want him early for a school project."
"Yes."
Harry, still trying to catch up, asked, "You hate school projects?"
"I hate poorly designed ones," Zoe corrected. "This one has structural potential."
Killian turned toward August. "I don't even properly belong to this family and it's the best one I've got."
"You absolutely belong to it properly," August replied.
"You are not helping."
"No," Zoe agreed. "He rarely does."
August looked wounded. "I'm helping emotionally."
"You're standing there enjoying yourself."
"That is emotional support for me."
Harry laughed before he could stop himself.
Everyone looked at him.
He flushed at once. "Sorry."
Zoe's expression softened by a degree. "Don't apologize for laughing, darling. It's one of the few sensible things happening here."
Jason rubbed a hand over his face. "Zoe."
"What."
"You can't just decide to take him early because you've had an interesting morning."
"That is not why I'm taking him early."
Harry frowned. "You are taking me early?"
"If you want to come," Zoe told him. "You are old enough to have a preference."
Jason's jaw tightened. So did Killian's hands. Harry's posture changed, the shift of a kid who realized he was being asked and not just arranged.
"I mean," Harry ventured, "I do kind of want help with the bridge."
Killian looked at him. "What sort of bridge?"
Harry turned to him, already more open than before. "Weight-bearing. We have to build one that can hold as much as possible with limited materials."
Killian's mouth twitched. "And she wants in on that."
Zoe lifted one shoulder. "I know a thing or two about structures."
August made a strangled noise into his sleeve.
Harry looked between them, suspicious now in the healthy way of a teenager who knew his adults were being weird.
"…Why is that funny."
Killian answered first, still watching Zoe.
"Because your mother is about to annihilate a middle-school engineering rubric."
"It's high school," Harry informed him.
"That makes it worse," August murmured.
Jason looked at Zoe. "You're serious."
"Yes."
"You want to take him early to help build a bridge."
"Yes."
"You," Jason pressed, "who destabilized Camelot with three words."
Killian's head snapped toward him. "She what?"
Zoe didn't blink. "Arthur was irritating."
"That is not the point," Jason told her.
"It was at the time."
Harry looked at Killian. "Did she really destabilize Camelot?"
Killian considered this. "I'm new here, but I'm going to guess yes."
August nodded. "Without question, yes."
Harry looked back at Zoe with dawning interest. "And you want to help with my bridge."
"Yes."
He absorbed that for about two seconds, then delivered, with the entire practical seriousness of a fourteen-year-old who had just realized his parent might be wildly overqualified:
"…Can I absolutely tell my teacher my mom helped?"
"No," Zoe and Jason answered at once.
Killian laughed.
Harry looked offended. "Why not?"
"Because," Zoe explained, "your teacher is not equipped for the amount of follow-up that would invite."
August, helpless with delight. "Also because 'my mom is a two-thousand-year-old sorceress with strong opinions about load distribution' tends to derail grading."
Harry grinned despite himself.
Jason exhaled. "Fine."
All three of them looked at him.
He looked instantly annoyed to be the center of attention in his own concession.
"Fine," he repeated. "Take him early. Help with the project. Whatever." His eyes narrowed at Zoe. "But if he comes back talking about ancient sun engineering or curse-stable architecture, I'm blaming you."
"You already blame me for most things," Zoe replied.
"Because most things are your fault."
"Objectively untrue."
"Statistically arguable," August added.
"No one asked Pinocchio," Jason muttered.
August straightened. "Actually, I've been finding my contributions invaluable."
Killian looked at Harry. "Does he always do this."
Harry, now more relaxed than he had been five minutes ago, nodded. "I think so."
"That sounds exhausting."
"It probably is," Zoe admitted.
August put a hand to his chest. "And yet beloved."
Killian rolled his eyes. "By one woman and apparently against her better judgment."
"Still counts."
Harry shifted the lunch bag from one hand to the other.
"So… are we going now?"
The scene contracted. All the myth and history in it went small and domestic and present tense.
Zoe nodded once. "If you'd like."
Harry looked at Jason.
Affection there, yes. Habit too. The everyday kind, current and earned in small ways. But no hesitation when he turned back.
"Yeah. I'll text you later."
Jason gave a short nod.
"Alright."
Then Harry turned toward Killian, awkward in the way only boys could be when they wanted to ask for a thing and didn't yet know if they were allowed.
"You, uh…" He gestured vaguely. "You around?"
Killian blinked.
"Yes?"
Harry nodded, as though confirming a fact he wanted.
"Cool. Maybe come by when we build it."
The dock went quiet.
August looked at the water. Zoe looked at Harry. Jason looked like he'd just been forced to swallow a nail.
Killian had no line ready.
He looked at Harry, then replied, quieter than before, "Yeah. Alright."
Harry nodded once, satisfied.
"Cool."
Zoe touched the back of his shoulder, guiding him toward the ramp.
As they started up, August fell in beside them like he had always belonged there.
Halfway up, Harry looked back.
"At least you'll know how to make it not sink."
Killian stared.
Then a smile broke across his face despite himself.
"There's the family resemblance," he managed.
Harry grinned and kept walking.
Killian stayed where he was for another second, watching them go. The boy in the hoodie. The witch in black. The wooden man who had folded into all of it as if this absurd little orbit had always been waiting for him.
Jason came up beside him, still holding his own lunch like it had personally betrayed him.
Killian didn't look at him.
After a while, Jason offered, "He likes science."
"So I gathered."
Another pause.
"He's good at it."
Killian's jaw tightened.
"I'm sure he is."
Jason was quiet for a beat longer, then added, low and almost careful, "He's different when he comes back from hers."
Killian turned his head just enough to catch him from the corner of his eye.
Jason's face had gone tired in a way that threatened sympathy, and Killian disliked it for exactly that reason.
"Don't," Killian warned.
Jason looked away first.
"Do not stand there and tell me what she does for him as though that's news. As though I ought to be learning it from you."
Killian turned back toward the water.
Up on the street, Harry's laugh carried once on the wind. August must have done the insufferable thing again. Zoe would be pretending not to encourage it.
The docks no longer felt like a place where things had been lost.
They felt, inconveniently, like the start of getting them back.
