They said they share your concerns about the ugly stuff happening, but also said they won't (or "can't") do anything about it. Then they filled it with fluff about what an agreement is and what it means to seek asylum in Canada to bulk up the email. Probably because they didn't want to send an email that just said "yeah it sucks but we're not gonna do anything"

My friend was supposed to come over for a cooking lesson tonight: crispy baked fish sandwiches with ranch fries and creamy coleslaw and apple turnovers for dessert. She cancelled because she got called in to and I'm so disappointed. I looked forward to this meal D:

Red Snowing Headcanons: Their oldest child, Emma Swan.

The savior, the one with true love’s magic. Has been out as bisexual since long before the curse broke. Sheriff of Storybrooke, dealing with the trauma of her past with the help of her family. Loves her little siblings to pieces. Helps them both come out later on in their teen years.

I saw that discussion about the hate Snowing writers are getting from some asshole anons and your comment about not writing Emma ships in your new fic got my attention. It's why I don't really venture into Snowing fic; I don't want to read about CS and I'm not sure how prevalent it is in fic. Obviously Snowing is the main ship but even as a side pair I can't read CS. What's your experience with it?

So, back when I used to ship it, it wasn’t a big deal. I noticed it was much more of a side pair and I could handle it.

Now…it is a little difficult to find Snowing fics that do not include it as a pairing. And there are many Snowing fics where Snowing is actually a side pairing while C$ is the main event. It is harder these days to find fics where it isn’t. I do think that’s because a large part of the fandom does ship it. However, I do know many who stopped around season 5 or when it was revealed that Killian killed Robert.

On the flip side, I have gotten hate/a lot of reviews for not making C$ a pairing in some of my stories. I had planned from the beginning for Swanfire to be endgame in one of my fics. It became pretty clear and I still have people asking me to make C$ endgame. It sucks. I have a Charming family one shot series and I announced I wasn’t going to be doing any Emma ships (including ones that I shipped like SF and SQ), which lead to me getting hate because I was “excluding” people.

Basically, I’ve found that the true Snowing shippers, won’t care about you doing this. They’re there for Snowing and it’s easier if Emma doesn’t have a romance, becuase it’s supposed to focus on the family anyway. Those who only ship Snowing for the “parallels” between it and C$ are going to be pissed if you don’t include them. I remember I was once prompted to write about Emma having an abusive ex who held her hostage, so I wrote about Killian doing that and got a lot of hate because it was “OOC”.

The main ones I have found who don’t write about C$ as a side pairing are myself, @loboselinaistrash, @lilacmoon83, @mystical-flute and JustMeAndMyKeyboard. Lobo and Keyboard, especially, do not include any Emma ships into their fics anymore. 

Basically, you just have to find writers who either include the Emma side-pair that you prefer, doesn’t give her any at all or comes up with an OC for her (which is what I tend to do now).

Neal and Regina develop a connection during the “Missing Year”. She tells him stories of Henry’s childhood and he attempts to comfort her over losing him. When it’s too much for her to handle, she puts herself under the sleeping curse. When they’re laying her to rest peacefully until they can track down Emma and Henry so they can be together again, Neal kisses her cheek and it wakes her.

It turns out that he has a lion tattoo and that Tinkerbell got the wrong guy in her prophecy. Regina is afraid to love again and begins pushing Neal away. He goes on the mission with Belle to bring his father back. When Regina realizes Zelena’s plans for him, it’s up to her to protect her true love.

Snow White and David come from two different worlds. She’s a princess and he’s a shepherd. Their paths cross when she goes undercover to help catch her mother’s murderer in David’s village. They work together and end up solving it, falling in love along the way. It isn’t long before Leopold finds out and is furious. He tries to forbid them from dating, but when that doesn’t work, he has another plan.

Locking Snow in a tower, he tells her it’s for her own good until he can find her a suitable husband. He goes and tells David that she died. Every night, the two look out at the stars, dreaming of the love that they’ve lost. Ruby manages to tell David the truth and he is determined to break his princess free. It won’t be easy, but they will be together, someway, somehow.

I'm feeling a little down tonight. What about Fire Queen and "Lovestruck"? (I wonder if that's even a good title for anything :O)

(So, I’m basing this on a movie I saw with this title lol)

Regina Mills has always done her best to be supportive of her son, Henry’s, choices. However, when he announces he’s marrying Ella, she’s convinced there’s something about her. A mysterious man that goes by Gold, sells her anti aging supplements and she takes them just before she’s due to start helping with wedding prep. Little does she realize, the “supplements” are really a potion that turns her back into a 25-year-old. Without a cure and still trying to prove there’s something up with Ella, she poses as Roni and befriends them.

Then her ex-husband, Neal shows up and recognizes her. She gives him the supplements as well. Together they realize just how perfect Ella is for their son and need to find a way to change back in time for the wedding so he doesn’t think that his parents have abandoned him. Along the way, they start to question why they divorced in the first place and start falling in love again.

#TMI Tuesday: So what gave you the courage to finally write that Rumbelle oneshot? And how did you come to the decision to Rumbelle that particular trope?

I think because this was a trope I felt passionately belonged to them. I tried working it into other ships that I write often (Snowing or Swanfire), but I really didn’t feel it suited any of them. 

With Rumbelle, I do find that even in AUs, Rumple often comes from money and can give Belle a good life, or even vice versa. I’ve read ones where Belle is the wealthy heiress and Gold has a blue collar job. I like those, they’re nice, but I also enjoy the ones where they live a modest life. Belle is a librarian or works in a bookstore, Gold has a job that doesn’t earn a lot of money. It’s nice if they’re of means when you write a story, because it makes things easier, but at the same time, it’s not what this story is about.

I often think that gift giving with canon Rumbelle is a challenge. What do you give the man that literally has it all? Yet, in this AU, they had very little and they still wanted for very little. I wanted to make it clear that neither of them were asking for these things, they were gifts that each partner found on their own and thought “Wow, he/she could really use that.” They were practical gifts, while also being a little extravagant. I’m sure they could find a cheaper way to solve both problems, but it was Christmas and they felt the other wanted to be spoiled.

And in the end, they made a sacrifice to make the other happy. Which is pretty much Rumbelle to a T, except this time, they both ended up happy in the end. I actually hope to expand on this verse at some point, prompts are always open. :)
