❝ I literally have a ‘white people voice’ for when I’m being polite. ❞
Of anything thus far this is what pushes his gaze to a raise, brows with, skeptical and now torn from the tablet ( lit up still as though he’s hoping to return to its screen soon, universe allowing and merciful ). And though the doubt’s all too apparent, it’s perhaps a bit too quickly dismissed with Lance’s claim and a shrug —– and a return to the words illuminated back at him. “Uh huh. I’ll believe that when I see it.”

✧- An emotional scar:
Most people (after hearing about Finn’s tumultuous past) assume that the worst part was Admiral Clifton beating the shit out of him. They would be wrong. In Finn’s eyes, the worst part is wondering what life would have been like with Jason, if he’d have grown up like a regular kid and gotten regular grades and got into the Academy like a regular guy instead of taking everything 5 steps at a time. After his brother’s death, Finn’s dad pushed him hard to be a satisfactory replacement for the lost son. Finn wonders everyday if he ever will be.
✗- A physical scar:
Once, while on duty in Engineering and not paying attention to his work, Finn literally stumbled into a minor chemical spill, tripping and catching himself on his hands and knees in the midst of it. His gloves protected his palms from the worst of it, but his knees are lightly scarred from the ordeal.
