[ 💌 ] Bennet "Benny" Valentine 39 years old || He/Him
MR VALENTINE (the show):
Benny plays "Mr. Valentine" On TV, a Mister Rodgers type children's show alongside two puppets; Petunia and Max!
The episodes would be Sesame-Street like, teaching kids math and social studies and such. There were also episodes on more serious topics, but under the guise of a silly TV trope. For example, an episode once had the side story of the puppets finding Mr. Valentine asleep, instead of in his usual spot. They try to wake him up because they need an adult to get permission for something, but when he STILL doesn't they decide to get another adult instead. The episode was supposed to teach the kids how to recgonize an emergency when a parent is incapacitated, and how to call for help + call 911. His co-stars, Sarah-Ann (Petunia) and Lydia (Max) are girlfriends giggle. They hold different views of their boss! Sarah-Ann loves her job, and holds Mr. Valentine in high regards. However, Lydia finds him really unsettling.
BENNETT VALENTINE:
Bennett Valentine was originally a CPS worker. He quit his job a few years in after too many situations where he couldn't help. Too many times he had to turn away from a kid because he could do no more. He knew he could do more away from the job. He knew he could do more. After quitting, he invested to start a children's show!! Mr. Valentine was a huge hit because of how personal it was. Benny is incredibly kind to children. He's soft-spoken and sweet, like a living cartoon character. However, he is also incredibly judgmental of adults. He holds rigid ideas about how children should be treated. Despite the law, Benny maintains a secret cache of firearms.
He uses his arsenal to take the law into his own hands. Often he kills parents that he deems unfit to raise their kids, threats to children, or people that attempt to intervene. He also will use them in self defense if needed (cough. Bob Velseb.) Benny is very judgmental of parents; he would not approve of any of the parents canonically in the series right now. (THESE ARE BENNY'S OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS; NOT MINE.) - Lila: Neglectful of her son, also wouldn't like that she gave Skid a phone. Same reasoning as Gregor I think - Jaune (+Aaron): Let her son out on a night when a MURDERER was walking free, and only became concerned when having a run-in with said serial killer herself. - Wonder Parents: Neglect. Obviously. He doesn't know where they are but he's not happy with them. he's not angry just dissapointed. - Carmen & Richard: Same reason the fandom hates them. AHA. - John: Would believe he failed as a father.
EXTRA TRIVIA STUFFS ~!
Some of his main inspirations include: Mister Rodgers, Bob Ross, Wally Darling, Mister Crocket. and uh. Father Ernest. grins.
Despite one of his main inspirations being Mister Crocket and Wally Darling; I don't want to imply anything supernatural with Valentine. He's just a guy.
He's not blind. eyes closed is just a design choice :D I imagine they open when he's angry.

Has a rivalry with Evermore lmao. It goes back to when Valentine was first starting his show and Evermore refused to help fund it. Valentine didn't vote for him >:(

The Max puppet's lazy eye was originally a manufacturing error, but Valentine refused to have it fixed.
