Ok, sorry y'all, I'm using this ask to further elaborate on the Wells Family and Coswan vs The Turners.

The Turners are an old school traditional family. They saw CosWan and went "That's not normal." They did NOT like the way CosWan acted. They were unnatural. Stilted. Just their presence alone would damage the property value of the neighborhood!

Meanwhile, the Wells are absolutely enchanted with their neighbors. Their silly antics are so refreshing to have after moving to a whole new city! They're eccentric, a bit ditzy, but there's so much charm in that.

"Two halfs of a whole idiot" is dropped once, and the Wells loves that. It's probably already being used in Mrs. Well's next book.

Oughhhhhhhhhh Cream...

Cross being the only one able to see Dream as the broken and imperfect being that he is and decide to love him even more for it is OH MY GOD to me. But it was a really slow process. I think Cross had a little crush on Dream before they were friends, as an adverse effect of his aura but the experiences that push them closer to each other.
