Introductions
AP: Hi there! Well, I guess our first post will be a short intro of ourselves and what everyone should be expecting from our Tumblr. First of all, my name is Andrea/Drea and today my coworker/friend/”Seoul” sister @etaira and I decided to create our own Tumblr to share all the Korean things we love. This is going to include - music, movies/dramas, food, skin care, makeup, etc.
Long story, short - I’ve recently reconnected with some of my old obsessions and now I have so many more new ones. So, I’m here to share and maybe also learn about everything that I have fallen in love with.
(I literally wrote an entire essay and thought - “Who the hell is going to read this?!” And proceeded to delete EVERYTHING but the last 2 sentences)
CA: Hello! Cheryl here! After being on a Tumblr hiatus, having new k-everything discoveries, and forgetting the login information --- I’m finally here.
My not-so-quick semi-dramatic intro: I’ve always been into k-dramas, -skin care, and -food. I was introduced to k-pop by my sister (via Super Junior) around 2005+, but I had little-to-no interest.
Then 11 years later, fast forward to 2016: I was talking to Andrea about a movie that made me Kim Kardashian ugly cry and (what seemed like) irreversibly depressed for weeks, called Pure Love. I told her how I was in love with the male lead character, Do Kyungsoo. When she told me he was an idol, I was shocked. I’m not sure why, but it never actually came to mind that an actor could also be an idol, or vice versa. That’s when she introduced me to the crazy (understatement) world of k-pop via EXO --- giving me daily lessons about each member. Google searches and YouTube searches began and became a daily thing (until now). Then we expanded to other things and started sending each other “Korean Word of the Day” e-mails or texts, then k-pop or k-drama quizzes, etc. And that’s it. There was no turning back. /THE END and what Andrea said about what should be expected from our Tumblr.

Who are we?
DABD (uk) is a charity based in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Essex. We have a wide range of services designed to help out members of the local community (check us out at www.dabd.org.uk). This tumbr in particular is dedicated to our employment services.
We help local residents back into employment by offering various means of training and support.
From help updating your CV, interview techniques and tips to advice on filling out application forms... we do all we can to help prepare people getting back into employment.
