how does sunflower feel about hilda? i mean, if he's so deeply affected by ravio manipulating him... but with hilda it was less personal... & he did help restore lorule's triforce... but also at least ravio didn't literally try to kill him...?
This is a good question! Thank you for asking it :)
Sunflower definitely has his reservations about Hilda. She used him and wasn't honest with him, which absolutely doesn't sit right with him. But it's also easier for him to distance themself from her, because as you said, it's less personal. It's so much easier for Sunflower to direct all their anger and hurt feelings at Ravio, someone he got to know personally, someone he shared a home with, than it is for him to get angry at someone who has incredible distance from him.
And Sunflower is a caring person, no matter how much they may try to deny it. He understands why Hilda did what she did — and he understands why Ravio did what he did. And that makes it worse, I feel like? They refused to turn a blind eye to Lorule, and so they refused to not do everything they could to help it, including wishing on the Triforce. They wanted what was best for them, and he's glad they got it. But he's also not convinced manipulation and lying was the only way to do that.
So essentially: Sunflower's got a lot of mixed feelings, as per usual. They would absolutely save Lorule and help Hilda again if they had to. They would also prefer to get hit in the head repeatedly by a nuclear missile than have to do that. He understands and sympathizes with Hilda (and Ravio too, but that's clouded by a lot of hurt and frustration), and he mostly looks back at her with a clinical sort of detachment.
