We must quit bending the Word to suit our situation. It is we who must be bent to that Word, our necks that must bow under the yoke.

On the other hand, the Ticos are super fucking nice people
kim possible and ron stoppable are both gay and dating bc it make sense to them to do so and then they grow up and they’re both like oh i’m gay and they’re still best friends
night after night i sit wondering why it had to be this way couldn’t we just think about it? wish i was freed by now i never wanted to admit the fact that things have gone too far but now it's come down to this it hurts to reminisce but i still, i still need you here right now i need, i need you to just allow it i still, i still love you more and we need, more space to heal to think about i still, i still need you here right now i need, i need you to just allow it
I haven’t gotten any replies from other sources so I think it’s about time to put this out on tumblr in hopes of reaching a wider audience.
I find myself in a bit of a situation.
at the start of the year, me and a friend fled Tennessee for the greener pastures of Tacoma, Washington. we were both leaving some less than ideal personal situations and felt having a roommate would be beneficial, so we left together. We swiftly found a motel with weekly rates and then kind of got stuck in a rut. we don’t have a car, and the motel we can afford is in kind of an out of the way location, making it very difficult for us to find any employment. in a bit less than another month, our resources will have dwindled to the point where getting food will become... a much harder prospect.
and that leads me to the crux of this: We’re seeking someone in the SeaTac area that might have a room for us. We’re not asking to simply crash on someone’s couch; provided with transportation, we have a way of getting rent money... just not enough to sustain us where we are for very much longer. We’re just really hoping to rent someone’s back room for a while, so we have a bit more time buffer to find gainful employment. and perhaps a ride to work until we can get some shitty used car on the cheap. in addition to rent I am more than willing to provides services such as cooking as cleaning.
a bit more information just for our safety as much as anything else: The two of us are trans women, and fairly early on in our transitions. We are also members of The Satanic Temple, which is an atheistic religion and social activist group, working to uphold church/state separation, amongst other humanist and egalitarian efforts. We need whoever might be willing to take us in be able to respect both of these things. a big part of the reason why we chose to travel clear across the country to make our new start is that we wanted to be able to get involved in this activism, to make a positive change in the world, so this isn’t something I feel comfortable hiding just to get along.
I want to thank anyone who actually took the time to read this, and even if you can’t help, I’d like to ask that you reblog this if you have any followers living in the SeaTac area. we really need some help, so I really need this to get out there.
There are many parts of the world, where poverty is real, living of a bowl a rice a day, sending your 5yr old to hustle, washing in the same gully as your neighbour shits in, family members having to send most of their earnings to support their family and elderly Over in the UK poverty is a state of mind, usually based upon values priorities, self-respect and self esteem
