A Reality of Being a Songwriter (or artist of any kind)...
One of my friends was asked by someone in a disgruntled manner: “Why when you speak to me, you somehow end up speaking your lyrics/words?" (paraphrase)
She responds: “Because I have lived and still live these words…"
People forget that the same way others relate to our lyrics and songs and art, WE as the artists relate to them too! And even more so at times. This is our therapy. We need to be reminded too. We need to encourage ourselves too…to meditate too…to be liberated too…
