Our Anniversary (closed RP with @valorandgold)

It had been one year. One full year since Maya had reunited with Miles Edgeworth that fateful day in People Park. One year since they confessed their attraction to each other, and decided to start dating. One year since Maya had decided to retest the waters, so to speak, in the dating pool. Until Miles, she hadn’t even considered dating again. Her divorce had really messed things up.

But Miles...he had somehow single-handedly restored her faith in love. He was always a gentleman, he was loving and kind and understanding. Everything her ex-husband lacked in, he made up for. He was amazing with her daughter, and Mia loved him just as much. He was perfect. Maya found herself wondering daily just how she had gotten so lucky.

She woke that morning in the bed that she had been sharing with Miles for the last 6 months or so (she and Mia moved into his apartment, even though they still spent a fair amount of time in Kurain). Not to her surprise, though, Miles was already up. She didn’t hear the shower running though, which did surprise her. How long had she slept in? She looked at the clock on her bedside table, it was only 7:30...so where was her boyfriend?

Maya got out of bed and grabbed her robe off the hook by the door. She slid it on and padded down the hall towards the kitchen. “Miles? Hello? Anyone?” she asked aloud, hoping that she’d get some kind of response.

On Sunday, March 24, 2019, Maya and I both decided we wanted to be "official". Thereby, we became boyfriend and girlfriend. Since that day, my love life has been everything I have ever hoped for, dreamed of, and then even more. #relationshipgoals This is the longest I have ever dated someone and I do not take for granted a single moment I get to spend with the most beautiful specimen I have ever encountered, in all of the earth. #itsouranniversary These past 4 years have been the best ever, just because I have her by my side. Words cannot express how great it is to just have Maya around to experience life together. It is great to know that I have such an amazing friend, such a great confidant, and just a great partner. #ouranniversary God writes the greatest love stories of all time. I am just so blessed to be finally living and experiencing mine. I pray in Jesus name that Maya and I have at least 150 more years together, here on this earth. For it would be truly a blessing and an honor if we both could experience both of us accomplishing all of our goals and fulfilling all of our dreams together. #ourspecialday I pray that things only go up from here for both Maya and me. But no matter what the season, I can weather any storm life throws me as long as I have her for the ride.
