                  something that groot has learned about terrans is that they have a very odd idea of territory. no, that’s a lie -–– this is something he learned a long time ago during his first days with rocket. but he assumed that was just part of his small friend’s temperament. terrans, however, share it across their entire species, have marked lines and signs that threaten danger upon intrusion. the place he stumbles upon now, there was no sign ( that groot came upon, at least ), but by the look on the man’s face groot has a feeling he has trespassed. arms up, groot hopes he looks as innocent as he means to be.

                    the key is in the ignition. charles has never been a particularly good driver but for the most part he just doesn’t tell those who’re getting in the car with him. part of him is aware that it might be better to let erik drive but that’s the part more concerned with logic than pride and for a man of science he sides with pride far too often.      ❝ you know, normally we let someone drive us. not since before oxford of course, for the most part we could just walk then. but i might be a bit --- rusty at first, alright? ❞       his nose scrunches a little as he looks at erik.
