George whistled as he made his way to Alastar’s apartment. For such a religious man, he seemed to like to at least be comfortable in the places he stayed. George hadn’t been blind to the neighborhood. Not the richest but definitely not a bottom feeder type joint. He had the package and then he could be done with this leash the dhampir had on him.
He stopped in front of the door, raising a hand and knocking twice on the door. Sure, he had a charm which allowed him to come and go from houses as he pleased, but he wouldn’t be rude to the man who helped him escape the demon’s clutches.
The Vampires
Long ago, the Incubus king Asmodeus and the Lesser Demon Queen, Lilith the Lesser, were wed to further their strength as demonic rulers. Out of the union were born 13 beings of a new demonic nature. The modern world would call them vampires yet they cared not for names people gave them. Out of the 13 came 12 clans, the beginning of the vampire race. The twin siblings of Allocer and Lamashtu had joined together in the beginning to make their own clans. Yet Allocer was an ambitious, power hungry vampire and saw an opportunity to split the clan and take over his recently deceased brother’s clan.
The various clans of the world have different territories and tend not to be fond of their siblings crossing into their lands. There are a few cities which are deemed as neutral ground, though. These cities are typically the most populous cities in the world. This is where the clans can intermingle and become acquainted on safe territory.
Aside from the clans, there are smaller fractions which have broken off from the clans and are mixed “Bloodlines” of the different clans. These groups are called covens. They tend to have an electoral system for who is the head instead of the monarchy style of the clans.

Mary and Edward had decided to spend the night reading different books. Mary was currently so enthralled by her novel, she failed to realize her husband had fallen asleep beside her. She only realized it when he curled up against her in his sleep. She looked over to him with a slight smile before setting their books to the side and adjusting herself for both of their comfort. She pressed a gentle kiss to his blond locks, knowing how stressed and worn out he had been lately.

Alastar had made sure his brother was still away before he approached the clan. He needed to know what happened; if things had been dealt with properly. He entered into the study discreetly, examining the two blonds.
“What has occurred?”
