I FINALLY FINISHED THE SWEET TASTE OF SILVER!!!!! it took me long enough but i’m so glad i did because you’re a mad genius. like what the Fuck. still need to leave an actual comment but i just had to tell you. and now i can start silver and chocolate!!! 💍🍫

I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU! Finish Silver. Finish Silver. The ending is the best fucking part. And now, I think it's safe to say, I was right. Good for me. High five, Lumi. There's a reason why that last chapter was called Having Your Cake and Eating It, Too...And I couldn't just leave Ryuk out of it. Come on.

But thank you! Oh my god, thank you! I mean, you could've started Silver and Chocolate any time. The two aren't completely connect, but the ends kind of are. And not only can you start Silver and Chocolate, you can start the Sweet Taste of Apples, too! And now, you understand why I couldn't tell you much about Apples other than it was a companion piece. The story's very existence is a spoiler in itself. The chapters are maybe a thousand words each, so you can breeze through it pretty quick. It's just Ryuk retelling Silver. The Lion King 1 1/2 version, if you will. The Mystery Science Theater 3000 version, if you will. Right now, we're at the end of Light's first day at the office and just about to a very special moment that I still squeal about. Chapter 9...

But yay! I'm so happy! Now, I get to gush! :D

23. best writing advice for other writers?

read your work out loud to edit it. you'll get a sense of tempo, sentence length, and dialogue viability if you do that! you don't have to like act it out but even if you whisper it to yourself it will be really helpful. i used to be a writing center tutor & this was our #1 piece of advice, we were actually mandated to tell the students this lmao

58. What part of the writing process do you enjoy the most? (Brainstorming, outlining, writing, editing, etc)

brainstorming with my genius mutuals and also writing when i am struck with divine vision. when i am not struck with divine vision writing is the worst thing in the universe.
