Sometimes it’s the side roads, the unexpected turns, that lead you to the best places. • Coming home to NYC after #OurLongRide has definitely put a lot in perspective. Patience being one of them. I admit to previously being very bad with this. Not enjoying the now. Always thinking about what’s next. But after standing alone on outstretched roads, mountain tops and curling ocean coasts, smelling the earth waking up around me, experiencing the magic of it—I’m able to dig up that zen. I’m able to retrace the importance of living in a tiny van, often times in the middle of nowhere, and how peaceful it was. The sensation of feeling firmly planted in the soil while my mind flew free. I find I can pause better, regard better and listen. Because life already moves incredibly fast, no need to wish it to go by faster. And though we will surely find moments that drag, seconds that feel like hours as we wait for good news, bad news, or an adventure to begin, we have to remember that in the precipice of time is where memories are made.
