Just when I thought this town couldn’t get any shittier, it went and out did itself. I mean, couldn’t we at least have gotten trapped in a bar? Or anywhere with hard liquor, really.

Margaret was more than happy to be in a new place and see that more people were okay. Of course she wished she could be with her brother and her friends but just a chance to hopefully see more friendly faces comforted her enough. She looked around and found a booth to slip into taking out her notebook and a pen and started sketching. When she heard someone stop at the booth in front her her she looked up with a soft smile, “Hey, I’m sorry did I steal a spot? I can move if you need me to.”
Damn, I thought for sure that I’d wake up and this would be over. I don’t suppose those supply kits have any sweats or something, do they? My work clothes are not exactly the most comfortable to spend extended periods of time in. ...That’s probably why I take them off for a living.
Cameron’s jaw tightened as he looked down at his phone, the words ‘No Service’ mocking him as he tried to send a text to his loved ones. He worried. Maybe he didn’t show it often, but he worried; he always worried. And even though he had them to worry about, he also had people at Jammin’ Java that he knew he should take care of and make sure they were okay. That was his responsibility.
Clearing his throat, he pocketed his phone and nodded to himself as he went to the backroom and grabbed supply kits, food and water bottles. “Hey guys --- everyone’s doin’ alright, right?” Cameron sighed, looking around and doing a quick head count. He could do this. “Y’all need anything, I’m your guy. I’m the manager of this joint so I can tell you guys where everything is.” A pause. “We’ll be outta here soon enough.” Hopefully.
To say that Sawyer had been on edge for the past few days was a huge understatement -- being stuck in any place to long made Sawyer uncomfortable, let alone being stuck in one room for the past four days. So the arrival of new people was a welcome sight to her. Sawyer leaned against the wall, watching the new people shuffle in, some greeting each other whilst others looked around for people they knew. “Please tell me that you’d here to get us the fuck out of this place,” she murmured, stepping into the small crowd of people.
The longer they remained at Jammin’ Java, the more desperate Cameron got. Though this was his work place and he loved it here, it was beginning to become a bit of a nightmare. It was a great place to be at during times like these --- they were stocked with food and there was ample space for everyone. Yet, he felt trapped. Trapped and alone. Neither Brielle nor any of his siblings had been the ones to walk in as a group and he felt... well, he wasn’t quite sure what he felt, though it all quickly became anger. Making his way to the back room, Cameron shut the door behind him and let out a scream, punching the wall in front of him and not caring if anyone had heard him. He was sure they were feeling the same way as he was, anyway.

Despite the new setting, Bee still wasn’t feeling so great about the enclosed space. She had always been someone who likes to connect with nature on a daily basis and, oddly enough, the short trip to Jammin’ Java was not enough to cure her of the stir craze she’d been feeling. Still, ever one to be prepared and willing to work with any situation, she plopped down on the floor and pulled out her travel yoga mat to roll out in front of her. “If anyone wants to chill out for a second or two with some mindfulness yoga, I’m your girl.”
