[OOC] A PSA - Think before you send shit to people.
We need to talk about the asks that some of y'all send to NPC roleplayers. I’m saying NPC roleplayers right now because those are the folks I’ve been talking to about this shit. It comes up a lot.
You have to think before you send in asks. You may be excited to interact with somebody that's roleplaying your favourite character, but that doesn't mean you get to throw all sense out the window.
These characters are played by actual people. People that just wanna enjoy playing their character as much as you enjoy interacting with them.
When you send asks that cross certain boundaries -- that are highly sexual in nature, that push a kink, that are very ... bizarre -- you are fucking up.
You may know that character but you may not know the person behind them. If the average person would not approach a stranger and say the thing you want to say, you shouldn't, either.
Rules may be different from person-to-person and may entirely depend upon who they're dealing with. People I've been RPing with for a while are able to get away with a lot more than somebody that just followed me yesterday, or some random anon.
Look, the overly-thirsty, heavily sexual and frankly, really weird asks that some of you send to other NPC RPers are not cool. People have stopped playing characters they love because some folks can't stop whipping out their e-boners, or because some folks don't want to really consider the effect what they're saying might have on someone that doesn't know them. What your group of friends might find funny may squick the fuck out of someone else.

Please be considerate. Think before you ask or post.
And before all the “delete the asks!!!” statements come in: thanks, Captain Obvious. We do. This shit still needs to be said.
