why camping feels cold even with a good sleeping bag
most people blame their sleeping bag when camping feels freezing.but the cold usually isn’t coming from the air. it’s coming from the ground.when you sleep, your body weight compresses insulation beneath you. if the ground isn’t insulated properly, heat escapes straight down — no matter how good your sleeping bag is. that’s why:
• you feel cold from underneath
• your bag feels warm on top but useless below
• nights are worse than expected
• you wake up tired and stiff we learned this the hard way.
once we fixed ground insulation, camping nights changed completely.
