A memory that is only mine
(poem by Saadi)
You might be physically taking part in battle, but you're not really there. Something's missing. I'm sure the same goes for your comrades too. You kill enemies right in front of your own eyes yet you never feel the accompanying emotions or reactions. You wonder whether the intent to kill was ever really yours. You start to doubt whether you can take ownership of the deaths that you cause."

I got some schizo ass thoughts and you guys are gonna hear em
This scene is so strange for a number of reasons but one that I find really interesting is.
When does this scene take place? Like with the context of mgsv being unfinished and not having a 3rd act you would think that this is the connecting Cutscene between the 2nd and 3rd act and that the 3rd act would have stuff reference this like maybe with Eli. But what if this isn't the case?
when I first got to this Cutscene a couple months ago I thought this was right before mg1 happens because of the "operation intrude n313" and MSX references, but I don't think this is it due to what I mentioned before
A final theory that I find really interesting is that this is right before he fights solid snake, hear me out about this. We can hear gunshots and general war noises so the theory is that those are the sounds of solid snake fighting metal gear and that venom is playing the tape again or for the first time to prepare for the fight. Another detail is that the logo on the door behind venom changes when he punches the mirror from diamond dogs to outer heaven, seen here v
Which supports the theory. Though some people think this means there is a time jump so that theory 1 and 3 are true
What do you all think?
While at first glance it seems that Kaz was in it for the money, in reality, he believed in MSF's ideals just as Big Boss did, but Kaz was a pragmatist and a realist: He knew that for MSF to succeed, they needed logistics, infraestructure and funds. That's why he treated with Cipher behind Big Boss' back: Not out of malice, but to make sure MSF survives.
Young Solid Snake Punished by the Demon
This one is a reference to a fanfic I wrote a couple years back novelizing the original 1987 Metal Gear, in which before a young Snake meets Venom Snake/Big Boss at the end, I have him having constant nightmares in which he's menaced by a demonic figure who resembles the POWs' and resistance fighters' stories about him. He's wearing an Outer Heaven uniform because at one point in the story I have him using one as a disguise during the infiltration of the second building.
This art piece took me I think roughly about seven-ish hours to complete (I think--I wasn't really paying enough attention to keep an accurate count of the time). I really like how this one turned out.
I think...I think I might be getting good at this digital art thing, y'all. As an aside, if you want to read the fic I wrote which this piece of fanart is in reference to, you can find it here, where I wrote under the name of MaskedSongbird: Intrude N313, Target Designate: TX-55 - Chapter 1 - MaskedSongbird - Metal Gear [Archive of Our Own]
I have been made to understand by the people who've read it that it's...pretty good. ;)
There's a sequel fic in progress I started during 2025, but a combination of other artistic projects, my usual work life (which has nothing to do with writing, drawing, or music, etc.), my becoming more politically engaged (with all the psychological pressure that entails), and a recent personal tragedy have all left me finding difficulty in being consistent artistically (digital art excepted because it turns out this is actually kind of a mentally soothing activity for me), which has sidetracked things a bit. I do intend to return to Sins of the Past at some point soon, but I'm not exactly in a rush as I am still actively working to try to keep myself mentally well (and I still have an album to finish recording, if I can keep myself on task). Shout out to @allexonspace, who made a fanart piece of my fic several months back that I loved, which inspired me to do this.
