general headcanon with flare, eclipse, oh!papyrus? owo
While his motivation to dance has certainly diminished over the years he never stopped his daily warm up routines out of pure habit. However, he has since developed a strange quirk that has manifested during his flexibility training. No matter what pose he's in, when he's hit with a bout of fatigue he will fall asleep without a moments notice. Whether touching his toes or doing the splits turn away for a moment and he could be out like a light. Though, seeing someone maintain a backbend while snoozing will always be a tad impressive
Flare tends not to use use shortcuts as much as other sans'. Why? Well... just like anyone he's prone to making a mistake or two, and let's just say you kind of lose interest in shortcuts after ending up in the cold vacumn of space one too many times. Sooooo, in order to maintain his lazy integrity he learnt the marvelous art of floating. Now he can float everywhere and anywhere without breaking a sweat. Watch out, he can even do it in his sleep. His use of anti-grav magic as become so fluid and frequent he almost always has a slight bubble surrounding him. Within this bubble his jacket and hat will hover ever so slightly. In an attempt to stop his brother from floating so much Eclipse bought his brother weighted high tops, this backfired spectacularly, I'll let you guess why.
As far as Flare's sense of humour is concerned he, like any sans, likes a good pun. However he's more inclined to indulge in physical comedy. Pranks are his bread and butter, no one is safe from his well placed whoopie cushions. From cling wrap over doorways to switching out sugar and salt, he loves to make people laugh with a well executed prank. Just make sure you stay on his good side, he's not above glitter bombing
Three words. Tear! Away! Pants! If he's wearing pants there is a 99.99% chance they have the ability to be torn away with a flourish for a dramatic reveal. If that wasn't enough, he tends to wear multiple layers of these marvelous creations. Long, short, plain, patterned, sequined or embroidered, like a Russian nesting doll, it's pants within pants within pants
One of Eclipse's favourite pastimes, outside ice skating and puzzle construction, is bedazzling. If given half a chance he will attempt to bedazzle anything, even his own face! His personal policy is "Anyone can make the world shine with a bedazzler, a 5lb bag of assorted rhinestones and a little bit of determination."
As far as cooking goes Eclipse is actually pretty, not that good... yeah. However he does had a talent for making freeze dried fruit, only fruit though, if it's freeze dried anything else I'd advise you to steer clear unless you have excellent dental insurance.
When he's out and about scavenging, Wane tends to favour nets. He was a few on him at all times, from small to large. He usually brings in large amounts of scrap with his brothers help using his large fishing net. However his favourite has to be his pole arm net. He loves using it to scoop out items that he spies from a distance. Kind of like a game he doesn't always know what he's caught until he brings it in. You'll find he's pretty easy to spot from a distance, with his net slung over his shoulder he makes quite the striking silhouette.
Scavenging is a hard job in the habitat, but a necessary one. However lots of the scrap found just isn't suitable for use in repairing and maintaining Homebase 2. Not someone to give up though, Wane has found a new use for many of the rejected pieces. In his spare time he creates small 3D puzzles that he gifts to monsters around HB2. From Rubix cubes to interlocking jigsaws, he tries to make new engaging puzzles to help entertainment monsters of all ages.
After the impact tensions remain high for many monsters and anxiety has become a common ailment, Wane is no exception. Since then, whenever he feels especially anxious he likes to pull out some string and play cat's cradle. Doing something with his hands is the best way to calm him. Plus it helps that he always has string handy incase he needs to repair a net.
