Death By Stardom - An Undertale AU Fic

Part 2 of "Demons & Angels"

Main gist is that this is about my AU, Frozen Stars, which is basically a mix of my storyshift take and outertale + a few other elements

You had dreamed of dancing among the stars and being the most high, most beautiful, most brightest among them.

You believed you had finally achieved your wish.

You sang your heart out to the millions of monsters that attended your shows, as amateur as they were, bundled up in warm winter clothes to fend against the eternal blizzard that had plagued monsterkind ever since they had been banished on this cold and barren wasteland they called a moon, the natural starlight radiating from the vast abyss of space above you seeming to shine on you and you only.

(If you focused hard enough, you swore you could feel yourself floating.)

"And Icarus' life, it has only just begun.."

You looked at Blooky, who looked back at you with a rare, shy smile. When you had first arrived here, you were nothing less than terrified of the ghost that had now become your best friend.

(You believed you had even tried to attack them with a chainsaw, only for it to phase through them immediately....

You weren't the smartest at times, were you?)

But you had warmed up to them, after a while. But it had taken many, many glasses of milk fresh from the space snails outside on the farm and some... uncomfortable conversations about how life was like back at home.

" 'Space Snails...?' Are you pulling my leg, Darling? How would a snail even survive in space, and in such harsh weather conditions-"

".......... you guys have earth snails....?"

Eventually, you had finally realized that Blooky genuinely didn't wish any ill-will towards you. You had always been more than a little hard-headed.

(Or, perhaps it was... past experiences that had you automatically thinking that anyone who showed a margin of kindness to you wanted nothing more than to crush your dreams like a soda can underneath a high heel.)

Afterwards, you had slowly but surely lowered your guard down and became friends with the adorably timid ghost.

Hell, you even had their own room in their house!

(It had nothing more in it than a bed and some cabinets to put your stuff in, but compared to your old apartment, it was so much more spacious and luxurious! Especially since you didn't have to share it with 3 other people!)

One day, you had absentmindedly told Blooky that you adored entertaining others. It was your life's passions, your driving goal in this world.

"you like singing......?"

"Of course, Darling! It's my favorite thing to do in the world! Though acting is a close second. Oh, and script writing is enjoyable as well-"

"um. i.. i like... making music sometimes......"

"Really, Darling?! Why didn't you tell me? We could've made so many songs together! Imagine that! Something like.. 'Sparkles and Spectres', Featuring Blooky and Mettacrit!'"

".... do you wanna hear some of them?"

"Some of them? Darling, I want to hear all of them! I'm sure each and every one of them be absolutely stunning!"

".... don't get your hopes up."

"Blooky! What did I tell you about being mean to yourself?!"

"... to not to?"

"Exactly! Now let's go hear some of your music, which I'm certain will be wonderful!"

".... metta, please stop dragging me everywhere-"

"... Oops. Hehe, sorry about that Darling!"

Ever since then, Blooky had been your own personal producer. They made the music and you wrote the lyrics to the songs that you would perform in front of millions of people!

You had become Monsterkind's very own glimmering, shimmering star. For the first time in a long while, they had hope for the future.

Hope that perhaps someday, the snowfall would finally cease and they would not be forced to stay within their homes for the majority of their lives, having to ration food and stay huddled together, covered in piles upon piles of blankets in order to keep warm from the frigid blizzard that raged on every second of every day. Hope that they would be able to return to their home planet and feel the warmth of the sun and the feeling of grass beneath their feet. Hope that one day, they would finally be free.

You were their angel. The angel that had descended from the heavens to liberate them from their imprisonment.

As you looked over your crowd, which included the likes of the kings themselves (one of which was snorting the complimentary ketchup packets provided. Gross.) You felt a smile form on your face.

You would give everyone their happy ending.

After all, you had to repay them somehow for making your dreams come true. For accepting you as one of their own and making you feel the happiest you had ever been in your life.. for giving you a family.
