I blame myself for watching this high, but 5x09 was just a bit too soapy drama for me.
Loved the family bonding moments, couldn’t barely watch Jamie delirious talking. Too dramatic, I got secondhand embarrassment from some of the commentary.

I’m rising from the dead to say that the only valid parts of 5x09 are Jamie’s list of tasks for Roger in the event of his death and every scene with Fergus. Everything else can simply stop existing.
Sam and I wanted to find a really intimate and a really grounded way of portraying this scene... I think she wanted to imprint upon herself the memory of his body and the memory of him. It's almost like wrapping her body around him to protect him and hold him.
