I have to say, I’m actually rather impressed so far with season 6. I’m holding my breath because it’s only been three episodes but here are the things I have loved so far:
- the actress the casted as Malva, she’s really perfect. She’s embodying the role really well and she’s a sly little devil but also really enchanted with Claire and it’s just like what I would have hoped to see on my screen after reading ABOSSA. The later half of her story is going to wreck me because I think she is doing really well with the character, at least thus far.
- Marsali: it is so nice to see them pouring into the other characters and their storylines, especially ones that have larger roles through the later books. Marsali, Fergus, and Henri Christian all have major plots through this season and the later books so it’s nice to see them laying the foundation for those, if there are more seasons. It’s just also such a joy to see Lauren Lyle get a chance to actually develop Marsali on screen so much more. She is doing such a fantastic job and her interactions with Bree, and Claire and Roger are way more than I would have ever hoped for.
- I am just loving all the Fergus drama. I mean, Fergus and Jamie have such a bond, a history, and it’s so nice to see it represented throughout the different stages of Jamie’s life and through his timeline with Claire and how each of those stepping stones Fergus was there and helped him, and in return as Fergus is going through one of his own turbulent times, Jamie can be there for him. Even Claire can be there to return him to his family. It’s so heartwarming to see them be able to guide and help and protect their son. Two words: MON FILS.
- I am really enjoying Roger’s character development with all the new settlers, working by Jamie’s side…. Being there to help welcome the Christies and just be a leader on the Ridge. It feels like a lot of the turmoil from the past is really dissipating and like he’s really coming into his character. I also love his relationship with Bree and how he’s so proud of his wife creating the matches and encouraging her to continue to use her talents.
- Speaking of Bree, I wish we were seeing a little more of her? It’s still early, but I wish there was a little more core Fraser dynamic.
- The small twist of Claire and the ether is intriguing, I am not sure how I feel about it quite yet just because I am not sure where they are taking it and it is still really early.
- And I will end with this, I love Lizzie and the Beardsley boys… Get it girl.
These are my thoughts so far, maybe more to come, but not that anybody asked but I had to word vomit somewhere.

Per The Scottish Prisoner, still Diana’s best book, my interest in OUTLANDER remains Jamie Fraser centered & blogs pertaining to new S6 episodes, like all 5 Series previously, will focus exclusively on his story unless there’s something exceptional about another character or if he’s not in an episode. I usually blog an episode in pieces after its premiere, please adjust your dashboard spoiler sensitivity accordingly.

Outlander | Season 6 (2022)
Outlander S6 premieres tomorrow. Whatever happens, happens🤞🏼
