i dont think a lot of you realize that dr easterman’s divorce was fabricated by murkoff. more below
he literally had no idea about the divorce. almost as if this is the first time he’s hearing about this? hmm… notice the date of this doc. one day before easterman’s journal entry about divorcing irene:
scarfiotti laughed in his face because he and the rest of the higher ups deliberately tricked him. dr easterman also acknowledges that avellanos and the rest of “them” (presumably other higher ups) lied to him about his wife in this doc. he didn’t just forget that he divorced irene, she never even divorced him to begin with. notice that he says irene is lying about him not contacting her, which could ofc be delusion on his part, or, more likely, murkoff made up a reason. or easterman tried to contact her over those 2 years and murkoff never sent the letters out. murkoff probably lied to irene too and told her easterman divorced her.
