"Mundane" AU where cannibalism is still a thing.

I’m unsure how to go about this. A lot about Conchita herself would have to change, as a big thing is that she would have died without Beelzebub. So I’d assume that, given this is mundane except the cannibalism, either she recovered from her mother’s abuse or things were never bad.

I’m going with the former assumption.

This means that, while Banica enjoyed food, it wasn’t as obsessive or as unhealthy and she wasn’t going to die from her own eating habits. Carlos probably ended up there on his own after he ran away from home.

She herself probably ended up a cannibal after memories of her mother’s death. Vague curiosity, that kind of thing. Tried it, liked it, continued with it. Doesn’t mean Carlos wouldn’t be any less disturbed at first, but I imagine with enough time and his lover not an actual monster? He might become uncomfortable but accustomed to it.
