Soon enough the pain was over and the world came into focus again…
Tentatively, the creature lowered its head, letting the soft, segmented feelers touch and brush against the concrete. No water. Just stone. The beast let out a soft breath and continued exploring, searching the basement for its much-needed refreshment.
