I’m feeling somber today. Our excursion on thanksgiving weekend to some of the most beautiful tribal lands I’ve ever seen has be inundated with an influx of tourism. So much so that they are building a parking lot and inputting port-a-potties on said land to accommodate for this overwhelming increase. As proud as I am about the interest our generation has instilled for the natural experience, I am equally, if not more, concerned for the preservation of these natural habitats. We often found ourselves frustrated with the attitudes and self-centered energy most of these tourists encumbered and sped through these dense but beautiful areas in order to find solitude (as pictured above). Now, if things couldn’t get worse, tribal land has been compromised for human gain. Although our mere presence is a direct contribution to the increase in tourism, our passion, appreciation and respect for the land of those who came before us will not falter. 📷 @fortunesrfables #unitedoutside #optoutside #explore #gooutside #arizona #sedona #explorearizona #outsidekid #mountains #sunrise #wakeup #iwokeuplikethis #sundayselfie #filmisnotdead #35mm #filmphoto #filmphotography (at Sedona, Arizona)
