So I’d like to preface this with a heartfelt thanks to all of you that follow and write with me. I cannot express how much it means to me that you do, or that you’ve stuck around despite my stretches of absences and such. You’re all so wonderful, and talented, and I appreciate each and every one of you so much.  That being said, I’d like to host a little giveaway. Nothing wicked fancy, but just a little something from me to you, to spread some love and a smile or two.

Okay, so since this was a fantastically small giveaway, I’m gonna just go ahead and let everyone that participated be a winner. What inspired your (female) version of Murphy? Thanks for taking the time to answer ^_^

Well, originally, I was writing as a canon male Murphy (  was @sortalike7-eleven now at @betterluckwithabeer ). There was a Connor that I had bonded with rather quickly and we wrote a great deal together. She had a female version of Connor (Connie) and convinced me to make Murphie. From there, she just kind of blossomed into a life on her own. That mun no longer writes as Connor or Connie as far as I am aware, but I really liked the way that Murphie kinda took shape – so I attempt to keep her as alive and active as I can.

I feel like the qualities that she has a woman really sort of add and balance with that as her work as a Saint. Like, there’s a definite softness there, that I think the male version really tries to keep locked away, and to her credit, female Murphie does too, but it’s easier for her to open up about how heavy the work is, or how the hardships have truly done a number on them. But in that same effort, she still has the faith, and hope, that what they’re doing in their work is really for the greater good – despite the parallels and involvement of her father’s past to it all. I try my best to give both Murphie and Murphy the best justice that I can to a character that I really love, and have ever since watching the film. In a fair number of ways the brothers reminded me of how my brother and I are towards one another (What with the pranks and fierce protectiveness ) But also in the sense that Connor is very much in the role of the elder sibling, kind of controlling things in a way, and Murph follows, in an ebb and flow kind of way.
