Let me tell you guys a little story...
Once upon a time there was a little girl, let’s call her Jess because that’s as good a name as any. Now, in the grand scheme of things, Jess was a pretty insignificant little girl, nobody really paid any attention to her and her parents didn’t take the time to raise her properly. As she grew up, her body matured but her mind unfortunately did not until she became a somewhat bitter, unstable soul for whatever reasons.
One day, she stumbled into a kingdom populated with a group of people who shared a common interest with her and it seemed that, maybe, just maybe she could fit in there. But, sadly, that was not to be and the darkness in Jess’ mind drove her to play games with other’s feelings - first befriending girls who thought she was nothing more than one of them, only to twist and bend the things they had told her in their most vulnerable moments and use those facts to hurt them. When they would tire of her games and build walls around themselves to protect them, she would get bored and move on.
Then, one day, not too long ago, she met a sweet girl we shall call Kris because what’s in a name, right? They soon became good friends, chatting endlessly about their common interests and sharing tidbits of their lives with each other. Everything was going fine until one day, the darkness that lives in Jess’ mind reared its ugly head again and she abruptly cut herself off from Kris, saying that she could no longer be friends with her and she was going away for good. Kris was understandably hurt but what could she do? She could tell her friend was struggling and she wanted to be supportive but she had been cut off.
So, she got on with her life, interacted with the rest of their group, followed her own pursuits. Then, as suddenly as she left, Jess was back, begging forgiveness and asking to start back up where they left off. Now, Kris is a kind-hearted girl but she’d been hurt by Jess’ actions and she was reluctant at first to let her back in and risk that kind of rejection again. But Jess kept on at her, wearing her down, until they were communicating once more. Everything seemed how it had been for a brief moment until, without warning, the darkness inside Jess’ poor deranged mind suddenly took her over completely and she fully became the monster she had always been inside.
It just so happened that a Big Bad Troll had come to the girls’ kingdom and was wreaking havoc in its own special way but, instead of banding together to use their magic Block & Ignore spells that each of the girls possessed, the group became divided. And, in her deep dark corner, Jess saw an opportunity to play one of her favorite types of games and she started whispering to the others in secret, planting lies in their brains, making them believe that Kris was, in fact, the Big Bad Troll. Suddenly there were conspiracy theories everywhere, nobody trusted anybody anymore and the kingdom was divided. Those that were feeble-minded banded together behind Jess as she rained down her hellfire on Kris’ head, inventing lie after lie that she presented to her sheep as the truth until none of them could think for themselves anymore.
And so the kingdom fell, it’s citizens divided and Jess sits in her anonymous, dark, miserable little cave, feeding off of every word of hate spilling from her sycophants mouths, laughing like the disturbed individual that she is.
Sounds like a nice, dark little fairytale, huh? Well it would be if it wasn’t hurting somebody I love.
@outthetroll, let me introduce myself - I’m the NJ minion since you’re so fond of naming people. What I also am is Kris’ best friend and roommate, you know, in the REAL WORLD where people are not just faceless icons on a blue and white screen. I’ve known her for 10 years and lived with her for 8 so I don’t want to hear one more word from you toads about how you ‘know her’. You don’t know shit. Now, I’m sure you’re all rolling your eyes and saying, well of course her BFF is going to defend her and you’d be right. But I am also defending her because this witch hunt has gone past the point of being amusing and has steered into very dangerous territory.
I am, right here, right now going to categorically state that @hiddlesnlondon is not your troll.
Did everyone hear that? Do I need to repeat it for the dense little sheep in the back?
I’m not even going to pick apart your laughable ‘evidence’ because, really, what’s the point? You’ll just refute everything I say anyway.
Is Kris a saint? Not even close! But she’s not the demon you’re implying either. She has opinions and free thoughts just like all of you. Not one of you and I mean not a single one can put your hand on your heart and tell me that you haven’t criticized others in your fandom to your friends at one point or another. Whether it be an awful manip of Tom’s head on a firefighter’s body or another tired Y/N masturbatory fantasy dreamed up by some 12 year old with too many hormones and no money for a vibrator, you’ve all done it. Everybody in every fandom has done it and, if you say you haven’t then you’re all liars. You’ve linked your friends with gleeful messages of ‘look at this if you need a laugh’ or ‘you have to read this, it’s so bad’.
What @lareinedenfer did was bring that out into the open and none of you know how to cope with her directness. But the truth of the matter is, she’s not wrong! Maybe her delivery system is a little blunt but she’s certainly not lying in her critiques. Most authors beg for feedback, you all love to end your posts with little pleas for ‘any type of feedback is love, good or bad’ but the second you get a bad review, all hell is let loose because all you really want is praise - all the little sheep to ooh and ahh over what you’ve created and tell you how brilliant you are and how hot you made them feel. But a true writer will accept the bad reviews along with the good, will use them as learning tools for improving their craft and will hopefully not take them too personally.
Oh look, she’s defending the Big Bad Troll again, I hear you cry - that proves it’s Kris.
No, it just proves that I have a mind of my own and can form my own opinions.
I’ve watched Kris work tirelessly on THF, often through the night to make sure that the archives are up to date and all the (often) moronic asks are answered. I’ve helped her streamline the archive when the other mods were too busy or just didn’t care enough and let me tell you, I’ve read more than my fair share of your fandom’s fics and I have to say I’m surprised that it’s taken so long for someone ike @lareinedenfer to unleash their frustration on all of you. When half of you can’t even follow simple instructions on how to format your fic, there’s not really much hope for your actual writing.
Let me say it one more time because I’m not sure that it’s still sinking in for all of you...
You have been manipulated by one sad little girl and the two people she’s managed to convince of her lies. I hope that those two take a long, hard introspective look at themselves and what they’ve done. I understand that one of you has a teenage daughter - I hope you can just stop for a moment and consider how you would feel if it was her being unjustly attacked in the way that you are attacking Kris right now. None of you have any real proof, you have opinions and conjecture. Until you can give me 100% irrefutable proof that Kris is @lareinedenfer I am declaring you all liars with nothing more than a personal vendetta for whatever slights you think have been leveled against you.
Over here in my fandom, we have something called Team Delusional - a group of ardent fans whose favorite character was killed with a bullet to the head almost 2 seasons ago but are still adamant that she will return. So much so that they have countless, endless conspiracy theories involving clocks and spoons and things that will make no sense to any of you but, let me tell you, every single one of their theories is more plausible than what you are presenting as the ‘truth’.
I have had my own conversations with the Queen of Hell since this began and I can tell you that Kris was not sitting beside me answering me under her fake name! I would never urge the Queen to reveal her true identity because I would not wish what is happening to Kris to befall anybody else - nobody deserves this. Nobody. Least of all an innocent girl who wants nothing more than to be left alone with her writing and her adoration of Tom.
It’s time to let this rest before somebody gets seriously hurt.
