Met some of our friends from the green groups at the OBS Punggol Campsite recently. We had the opportunity to interact with students from the MOE-OBS Challenge Programme, who were practising their newly acquired minimal impact camping skills! We also shared ideas on how to take care of our environment and discussed ways to minimise environmental impact on the upcoming OBS@Coney development. Thankful for our green groups’ support as we stand together as environmental stewards! #nycsg #outwardboundsg

Met up with the newly appointed NYC’s 15th Council Members last week in the most interesting way – paddling down Sungei Punggol with students from Woodlands Ring Secondary School and Catholic High, and kick-biking through the Punggol Park Connector Network! These new activities are part OBS’ innovative efforts to expand its programmes to include new learning spaces on mainland Singapore, in preparation for OBS’ expansion to Coney Island. Great that more youths will benefit from the OBS experience – from social cohesion to appreciating the natural environment! #NYCsg #OutwardBoundSG

Happy to join the outdoor education practitioners at the first-ever Outdoor Education (OE) conference organised by Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) and the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). The conference brings together practitioners from all walks of life, for the shared vision of uplifting the OE sector. Outdoor education plays a pivotal role in building the character and resilience of our youths, empowering them to serve and contribute to the community, be it through volunteerism or being champions for environmental conservation. It is heartening to see the OE sector coming together for this inaugural event to learn and share best sector practices, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of outdoor education! #oecsg2017 #outwardboundsg #nycsg
