Had the chance to speak to students from Republic Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic who concluded a 4-day residential camp called Mission X, organised by Youth Corps Singapore. I shared with them the importance of education and how they can kick-start their volunteering journey while balancing other commitments in their daily lives as students. Joined in the festivities at the recent YOUTHx weekend! With the three key anchor events - SHINE Festival, Hyperplay and GetActive!SG – it was a great platform to see our youth shine in their talent and passion. I was also at the Hyperplay finals together with our friends from around the region. We are honoured to be hosting the first-ever ASEAN esports tournament and music festival as part of our ASEAN chairmanship this year. Glad to see our youth stepping out of their comfort zones to chase their dreams while making new friends from around the region. Met some of our friends from the green groups at the OBS Punggol Campsite recently. We had the opportunity to interact with students from the MOE-OBS Challenge Programme, who were practising their newly acquired minimal impact camping skills! We also shared ideas on how to take care of our environment and discussed ways to minimise environmental impact on the upcoming OBS@Coney development.
