Kanon lets out a small groan, rubbing her temple. Ow… did she bump her head into something again? That wouldn’t be the first time, sadly. She opens her eyes, looking at her surroundings. This doesn’t seem very… familiar…? Is she lost? That’s not really new to her, she tends to get lost often. But… but…

❝ W-Where am I…? ❞

Standing around won’t do anything, so all she can do is keep walking and hope she’ll find someone. She fiddles with her hands, eyes looking around with concern. This is worrying… she would usually find someone she knows by now, helping her with her current situation. Except, all she can see are arrays of buildings and shrines. 

❝ Fueee… what did I get myself in this time… ❞

She heard something about a princess, but she wasn’t paying too much attention due to her headache... and overall confusion. Is this another one of Kokoro’s ideas? But she would’ve seen her by now... or anyone from her band. Her attention is immediately grabbed once she spots someone nearby, and she rushes towards him. It would be awkward talking to a stranger, though… that doesn’t matter! This is crazy enough!

❝ U-Um, excuse me! ❞

A weary smile appears on her face, silently praying he won’t be rude or anything. She has a sinking feeling this is something completely out of her comfort zone, but--

first of all, it is very bold of you to call me “Lady” as if i am not the crown princess and current regnant of this country--which i have been for the past two years i might add! furthermore i am not the one who gave you that--as you called it---thing which is bambi for the ps2, that was baron rook! i highly advise you give it to me, or the person working the counter at gamestop so a certain someone. can obtain it for an audience with me.

hello lovely asta! rook is taking a backseat today i saw this and smiled so big. :)

you will be housed in sybella apartments S8, where you will find a nerf sword to replace the weapon taken from you on arrival. we took your book, too, but left you a copy of bambi for the ps2 in exchange. it’s not a book, but i hear it’s a hot item...

The princess has been rather busy taking naps because i was banned from inbox and performing her royal duties because i had hw due but she’s finally available to answer the note left for her. Very well, then.

   “... sometimes, it’s not just lettin’ it happen, y’know?” months prior to now, he would’ve been inclined to agree, but he knows better now. it’s easier to tell someone not to die, easier to tell them there has to be another way, when you aren’t the person dying. his arms fold uncomfortably as his weight shifts back, forcing the light pole behind him to support the weight of his thoughts.

   “everybody dies, after all. jus’ dunno when or how usually, so it’s bloody easy ta ignore how easily life is taken away.” shoulders roll back, and mismatched eyes turn up to the sky. how quaint and soft and blue, free of the unrelenting light that had beat down on him back then, on a different world with different problems, “so when ye realize the time ye got left is limited, yer priorities change.”
