It’s normal for us to overanalyze and overcomplicate just about everything. We often lead complex lives where the solutions can seem out of reach. They say the simplest answer is usually correct, so when I get overwhelmed, I come back to this profound notion of simplicity. When in doubt, simplify the clutter of your mind. Imagine your problem is a messy knot and visualize yourself untying…

I was trying to reduce a recipe and did the most backwards math ever.
The recipe has 6 cups of ingredient A and 40 of ingredient B. Since cups don’t easily divide by ten but they do easily divide by four, I could do 1/4 of the recipe.
So that’s 10 ingredient Bs. And there’s four quarters in each cup, six cups, so that’s 24 quarters. One quarter of 24 is six.
So 6 * 1/4 is 1.5 cups.
I realized after that I’d deeply over complicated it and just needed to do the final 6 * 0.25 to get the right answer.
This is why I hate explaining my process.
This #infographic shows the similarities between the methods for losing and building muscle. Of course this is an oversimplification, but in my experience many people #overcomplicate the process. I recommend focusing on the same fundamentals for both fat loss and building muscle: get enough sleep, consume adequate protein, and follow a progressive resistance training program to maintain lean muscle tissue and metabolism while losing fat, or to gain muscle mass, depending on your goal. The discerning factor would be your calorie intake: eat a little more to gain muscle ("slight" calorie surplus) and eat less to lose fat (modest calorie deficit). If fat loss is your main goal, it may also accelerate the process to include a couple of weekly HIIT cardio sessions as well, but that's optional. Hello...
Hello…
I firmly believe that sometimes we really, really, really overcomplicate the bible message. Sometimes a verse or even a phrase will be picked out and picked on and dissected and put back together in ten different ways and still gets interpreted so that mere mortals can’t understand it at all.
Heres one for you:
John 20:19 New Living Translation (NLT) That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting…
