the best song wasn`t the single but, you weren`t either...

things could not get worse. everything was going so good. a caring boyfriend, a great job (more like a second family), and school was just smooth sailing. everything was going so good, too good to be true. of course. it all came crashing down at the same time. the calm had reached its end and now the storm was coming full throttle. you had no time to prepare. it was happening and taking you down with it. the abyss swallowed you without hesitation. you were starting to grow distant with your other half, work wasn`t working with your new coming school schedule, and school was up in the air as you were transferring.

your now distant boyfriend picked you up from work, it was late and you were exhausted from your shift. the ride was so painful and silent, until your phone lit up saving you from the awkwardness in the car. you recognized the cute beep you set for a study buddy in your class, Park. The phone lit with his picture spelling out that the happy virus wanted to probably bug you about the most recent assignment from today. you opened the text quickly as you could feel your stuck up boy- whatever he was at the moment friend glaring at you. “hey little one what are you doing?!” you couldn't`t help but giggle at his nickname for you since Park stood almost two feet over you being that you were only five feet and he was nearly 7. not being able to take it anymore you glanced at your problem and spat at him, “can you pay attention to the road and not my fucking phone?” he huffed and kept looking forward as you quickly replied, “i`m stuck riding home with Satan, save me!” his reply came 1/2 a second after, “okay i`ll be outside your door with holy water when you get home and after we can get coffee!” your day off was finally tomorrow and you could use a break from everything and everyone so you agreed and by the time you were looking up you were passing Park walking up the street to your house.

the car halted to a rough stop. your driver blurted out, “who the hell is that?!” you looked up at Park opening your door. you glared back at him, “my friend, do you have a problem with that?” Park interrupted taking your hand to help you out, “hey man no need to be so rude to her.” he coolly spoke to him ignoring you now, “she`s mine and i`ll treat her how i like.” Park laughed and looked down at you, “he really is Satan huh? let`s get out of here and get that coffee!” your boyfriend`s jaw dropped, “so you`re with him now and i`m the bad guy?!” you were so sick of his childish behavior but, before you could cuss him out or even give him a smart reply Park stepped in front of you, sure you were close with Park but, you had never seen him be so protective and serious. “yeah she is now since you`re an asshole and think she`s your property! so i suggest you either get off of the car and tell me otherwise or leave and stop coming around!”

so say what are you waiting for? kiss her kiss her, i said my clocks early cause you know i`m always late.

your now ex shut his mouth and Park slammed the door closed before he took off so fast you`d thought he was being chased by the cops! You stood there shocked and couldn`t help but, start to laugh and jump up and down. after catching your breath you looked up at Park giving you his signature toothy smile and couldn`t help but return the same big smile for what he had done for you. He stepped forward to you and picked you up in a hug as you kept giggling and suddenly planted soft kisses on your lips in between you laughs. you didn`t stop him because it all felt so complete and natural. he spoke to you quietly as he set you down and took your hand into his, “now let`s go get that coffee, oh and something sweet! come on Jagiya!”

i wanna scream i love you from the top of my lungs but i`m afraid someone else will hear me

you never imagined to be sitting in the same coffee shop a few years down the road across from the same clumsy boy who sheltered you from a horrible storm. you had found a new job with better hours, your new school was actually really fun and you were making friends easily, and your new boyfriend was ten times the man you had ever hoped to find. life was finally falling back into place and you couldn`t be happier with your new beginnings.
