Prompt - Ollie is diabetic and his blood sugar goes low but he hides it from the boys, then they notice it when Ollie gets dizzy and pale and has difficulty breathing so they take care of him and call the ambulance.... Can you please do it on the 12th of March because it’s my birthday, but its fine if you can't and I really appreciate that you're willing to try to write it and I'm sorry that I'm asking too much. Thanks a lot love you xxxxxxx
------
Ollie hated the day when the doctor told him that he was diabetic. He couldn’t understand why him? He was just a kid then why should he get poked everyday to know how much is his blood sugar level? Why should he have so much of diet control? Why does he have a need to always be on his guard if he doesn’t want to end up in hospital? Why couldn’t he enjoy a single day just because of his diabetes? Often these questions bothered him but now his diabetes was just part of his life.
------
Though he hated it, Ollie couldn’t do anything about it except of maintaining his diet and checking his blood sugar level daily. That was just a part of his life that he couldn’t miss if he didn’t want to face the worst consequences. But this time Ollie completely missed his routine. They had a hectic schedule for the day and Ollie had woken up late on top of that. Skipping his daily blood sugar level check and grabbing an apple from the breakfast table, he hurried to the car to get on with their four interviews for the day.
------
Their schedule was so packed that Ollie had long forgotten his apple also. With an early stomach, he lasted just one interview before starting to feel the effects of a supposedly misbalanced blood sugar level. Ollie could feel a cold sweat run down his back as his vision blurred. Swaying dangerously as he stood up to follow his bandmates. Quickly closing his eyes, he tried to focus on standing up without trembling before quickly following his bandmates to the car for the next interview not knowing how he would manage through the interview.
------
But the next interview had been worse for Ollie. Even his bandmates started noticing how Ollie looked worse for wear.
“Are you okay, Ollie?” Jordi asked.
Ollie managed a weak nod.
Andy frowned at the boy.
Ryan passed Ollie the water bottle and frowned at how the boy’s hands were shaking.
Joey shared a look with Jordi, both feeling worried about Ollie but hoping the boy would be able to stick till the end of the interview.
------
Ollie managed to be conscious until they wrapped up this interview but as they made their way backstage, Ollie could feel himself swaying as his body threatened to surrender to the awaiting darkness.
“Easy there” Joey said, wrapping an arm around Ollie’s waist and leading him to sit on the couch backstage.
“What’s wrong, Ollie?” Ryan asked.
“Ollie… Ollie…” Jordi lightly tapped at Ollie’s cheeks trying to get the boy to focus.
“Dizzy” Ollie whimpered, trying to pull his face away from Jordi when suddenly he started panicking and his breathing started getting strained.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Ryan asked.
“Ollie?” Andy asked, worried.
“Can’t breathe” Ollie gasped, his face getting red.
“Hey, relax” Joey said, crouching down in front of Ollie as he squeezed the back of Ollie’s neck and keeping it there to support as well as comfort the boy. “Just breathe in and breathe out.” Joey said, in a soothing tone.
The boys tried their best to get Ollie to calm down when suddenly Ollie’s body went limp as the boy surrendered to the awaiting darkness.
“Shit, he passed out. Call an ambulance” Joey screamed, his tone changing from being soothing to Ollie to a panicked tone.
-------
When Ollie regained consciousness, he knew without even opening his eyes that he was in the hospital and that his bandmates had been very scared and worried.
“That idiot, couldn’t he tell us that it’s his blood sugar level that was getting low?” Jordi mumbled.
“Oh trust me, after today, I’m personally making sure he checks his blood sugar level everyday in front of me.” Joey said.
“Hey, I think he is waking up” Ryan said.
Hearing the boys shut up, Ollie let his eyes flutter open, wincing at the light.
“Easy… Easy… It’s okay. Just open your eyes” Joey said. One minute ago, he was angry at Ollie and now he was back to coaxing the boy to open his eyes.
“Hey” Ollie croaked out.
“Hey yourself” Andy said.
“Angry?” Ollie asked, noticing how everybody looked gruff.
“Shouldn’t we be?” Jordi asked.
“I’m sorry” Ollie mumbled, looking down at his hands instead of his bandmates.
Joey sighed, squeezing Ollie’s shoulder, “Don’t be. Just promise not to scare us like this again” Joey said.
Ollie gave a short nod, relieved that nobody was angry at us.
------
Over the next days, Ollie’s bandmates went from protective to overprotective. They made sure to make Ollie check his blood sugar level every day and forced the boy to take care of himself. Sometimes, Ollie felt overwhelmed. He hated being diabetic but with the boys taking care of him, being diabetic did not seem to be so much of a problem now.
