Not a pear person so learning it gets fermented as it becomes overripe and taste like alcohol really threw me off. I ate a few pieces of one and it's mushy and has an off-putting after taste. Couldn't figure that out until I googled it and wala my pear is overripe. Never liked pears anyways but I figured why not try one after all these years and bam I get an overripe one. Oh well I can still stand it and it's still edible so I'll eat it. I am not one to waste food unless it makes me gag.
