Reinventing my own beauty standards. Standards in general - my entire life I was told not to get too dark, that fair light skinned women are so “naturally beautiful” and that I was “saanvali” (dark skinned) but had kashish (attraction) 🙄 This tan is so much more than skin deep (pun intended) I think it is changing but sometimes I catch myself. It is difficult to unlearn things you have been taught your entire life. Being unapologetically you, is the most beautiful thing. I can be emotional & cry at times but other days I am fierce & do not hold back. I love all things beauty & fashion and also care about giving back to the community.
