Give me Angry Medic Characters

Like I’m sick and tired of seeing all of these medic/healer types in video games be sweet and kind and understanding because they put people back together and they’re supposed to be soft™.

Combat medics are not soft™.

Combat medics are some of the most hardcore, foul, surly motherfuckers out there. The sound of gunfire interrupts them finishing up their notes, they grab their pistol and go out to win the fucking war.

Instead of a sweet, understanding Mercy, give me Mercy that has been through hell and back that has bags under her eyes and sees someone staggering in only to say “God dammit, Genji, again? Get on the table. Just know I’m getting real sick of doing this for you.” (Yeah, that’s how we headcanon her. But I want it in Canon, people.)

Give me a DND cleric that is less “Praise (insert god here)!” and more “god fucking dammit I ONLY HAVE SO MANY SPELLS STOP CHARGING IN DICK FIRST.” You know. The way any healer of a party could tell you that they feel out of character.

Basically, I want a medic character in a popular gaming franchise that reacts to standard situations the same way that the players do.
