This EXTREMELY rare VERY early Oyster Perpetual Datejust with a Bubbleback movement, ref. 6106, in two tone 14K yellow gold and stainless steel features a machined bezel and an expertly restored original dial with arrow markers and baton hands. This 1952 early Datejust does not have a screw down crown or the bracelet endpieces which it predates. Italian collectors have lent these highly desirable watches the moniker “Ovettone” which translates to “large egg”. These were the first Datejusts ever made. The watch also has its factory original RARE stretchy bracelet (store inventory#8296).
