Antique Malachite and Gilt Bronze Lidded Jewelry Casket, 19th Century. This is a malachite mounted oval ormolu casket, circa 1880 in date. The hinged cover features a large oval inset malachite panel with six smaller ones around the sides. The beautifully engraved body in the Palais Royale manner and raised on leafy scroll feet.

In this corner of the drawing room, the white and gilt sofa beneath the large, gilt-framed mirror is George III, while the cabinet, with its intricate carving and delicate latticework, is by Chippendale.
