Fellow Mercy-main (& Goats-comp if needed). Your latest post is exactly why I stopped playing comp if i'm not grouped up with my usual crew. Randoms are nothing but salty ungrateful DPS d-bags... That or you get a Tank-random too big for their britches that bloody screams if you don't obey their plans, and their plans *only*, no suggestions, just dictator-extreme. You were fully in the right here. Idk why OW has become so unbearably toxic, but it's almost not worth it some times....
It really isn’t sometimes- the more and more rants and such I see on almost every platform regarding Overwatch is usually completely true and valid- as I experienced most of the bullshit.
It’s incredibly tiring, irritating, axiety-producing, and anger-inducing.
From people REFUSING to group up /because apPaReNtLy their way is better, soOOOO much better, in fact, we lost three games in a row due to their lack of wanting to work together, bad attitude and their peanut-sized brain/, to making up their own rules and exploding when people don’t agree with them, people not wanting to switch then we should and we need them to, DPS mains on their high-horse, tanks running off without healers or DPS to break up the other team /leading them to a very early death, caused by their lack of patience/, or even healers trying to be DPS or even healers just healing their friends.
Comp is almost impossible to play because of those reasons /i have a lot more, but listing them would take an eternity/, QP as well- the lack of wanting to group up and listen is hilarious.
They want to win but won’t take “””shit””” from anyone, and then they get surprised when we don’t win.
I just wish everyone would take a step back, and start treating people like you would anyone in public- with respect, and decency.
If you don’t like the team plan, then respectfully disagree and try to come up with a new one, together, as a team!
If you don’t like someone, mute them, rather than going ape-shit and spilling all profanities in the book, and setting off not only the person you don’t like but your other teammates as well!!
I apologize for the colorfully-worded and essay-long rant, but as a Mercy main /who’s currently taking a break from Overwatch for a few months because of the toxicity, misogyny, etc that have been making me feel horrible and it’s been declining my overall mental health/ and an avid Overwatch player, I just really needed to get that off my chest
And anon, I apologize for taking so long to reply! If you're still playing Overwatch, I hope all is going well, and I hope your games are good and not full of horrible teammates!
